Hi Everyone,
Been a busy day for me today, and I have just received one of the text books I ordered for distance learning course. I no longer have an excuse not to start studying now
I only have two more hours of work, then its back home to have something to eat, watch a bit of tv, relax and then crack on with sorting my life out I think. I will start by making a plan t fit studying around full work days and weekends, as well as start seriously thinking about how I am going to get this extra income plan off the ground.:eek:
I can see why I generally prefer to bury my head in the sand. I do however find that the busier more stressed I am, the more time I seem to find to fit everything in.
I have slowly been getting through all the threads, so bear with me.
Have a great day everyone.
Hope everyone has a great day.0 -
Morning ladies - no writing this morning, I have started to clean already.
But I am looking at it this way - if everything is clean and tidy for Friday at 3.30 when they arrive then I have a fairly easy week next week in the run up to the holidays.
So today's fifteen minutes is to clean out your fridge ready for the festive fair - tossing the scummy jar of pickle that's lurking and anything that could happily live elsewhere for the duration........ Oh and pop something lovely in the fridge to chill nicely for your festive tipple.
Off to get a cuppa as I have a bit of a sore throat (dust induced I am sure)

MG - don't forget to keep the jars
Up at stupid o'clock this morning, so have made something that might be fudge to use up some of the excess evap and brown sugar. Have also done some washing (one lot in dryer, second lot washing) so ironing can be sent off later. Back door draught-proofed and its window bubble-wrapped; bathroom window and part of spare room window done too, so need to check the shed to see whether anymore bubble wrap from approved food orders is in there. Spare room blind is up and out of the way.
I want to get a tree today, and make a door decoration (CBA to faff about making a wreath though!) and make some Florentines. If OH comes over and can be persuaded there are some drilling tasks I want him to do (I'm not as confident as MG doing curtain poles and shelves on my own!). If not, it will be baking and house work, and some garden tidying if the weather let's me.
Breakfast next, then I need to get dressed and get stuff done!
ETA - I have a small celeriac, two sweet potatoes, a small squash, two leeks, potatoes, a red pepper, half a yellow pepper, onions and garlic... I need to make soups to eat/freeze over the next few weeks. I also have some pheasant stock.
Any ideas welcomed0 -
Greenbee: Reading your list I immediately thought soup and then read what you were planning:rotfl:I would do a smaller batch of leek and potatoe soup and then chuck everything else into pheasant stock and make a spicey pheasant and veg soup. I find a sprinkle of nutmeg and dash of chilli sauce work really well with pheasant stock.
I also planning on garden tidying if waether allows, but in mean time have to re-insulate my greenhouse due to having it soot filled a week ago:eek:, wrap OH's presents, wrap stockings and the most tempting thing is to read my book.:rotfl:
