Good evening,
Just been on the tesco site and ordered stuff for mince pies, my mum loved them last year, also bought a Mary berry xmas cake mix as ds2 wants to make a xmas cake and I'm not sure how one from scratch will turn out, and some xmas cupcake mix.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Well did the second part of my Springboard course and it was ace - just what I needed at this point in time. Thanks Cherisong/MrsMoo!!!
Otherwise things are still far too busy. Tomorrow is my supervision and it is going to be tough - I am not looking forward to it. Then a presentation to re-draft tomorrow - but finally the last deadline before Christmas. Bring on some rest!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Me too... The fire really struggled to get going. But my brain seems to have started working again, which is good. I have a cunning plan, which I hope will work, to get all my written research for this year mind-mapped and time-planned in Outlook tasks by New Year so I can get ahead. I really need pretty much everything written by march so I can just publish it monthly or it all gets hard work.
OH is apparently working over here on Thursday so I need to get myself organised so he can spend the afternoon doing helpful stuff like putting up curtain poles and shelves
As I'm in the office on Wednesday, that means a concerted effort on clearing up tomorrow and going to get a tree first thing (weather permitting) so the house can be decorated tomorrow night and Wednesday night.0 -
Hi all I am not sure whether kissjenn has ever been on the Matrix, but could you all keep her in your thoughts the next few days as she is due to have major surgery.
I hope she doesn't mind me posting this, but felt the more positive vibes the better.
In other news got my coffee table at least home to the house. My lovely mum bought it for me and OH in the end. I had been umming and ahhing about if for a couple of weeks. But it will fit very well in the spot I want it for..... when I get it upstairs that is....
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hi All,
I have just found this thread and am slowly getting through it. I wonder if I could join in?
Im currently working overseas but will hopefully be back in the UK at the start of May. Although so far I haven't had much luck with any of my job applications and so fear is starting to set in for when I return home. I want to try and start a small little business that will hopefully just help cover some expenses until I find a full time job.
Being surrounded by positive people and those who can maybe motivate me to get a move on with these things would be great..
Im off to finish reading through this thread.0 -
Chev : I follow KissJen and am already sending positive vibes. I don't know how she stays so cheerful!
findingmyway : Welcome to our merry band. I warn you, though - we can't half talk!
Everyone keep safe in the storms ahead. But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Morning ladies
Typing really carefully as I spent yesterday playing builders mate and am aching. He is back again Wednesday evening which leaves me just enough time to keep ahead of him in the jobs I can do on my own. Bit the good news is we have plaster boarded the roof so that is the really difficult (sweary) bit done.
He is a "ping-pong" playing joiner with a ringtone that sounds like a Clowns "parping" horn so quite fun to work with. His kids go to my old High School (doesn't sound like it has changed any Clootie )
He is good around DS2 (who is hanging around on the step watching us). The little one brought his "Bob the Builder Tool Box" up to play and the joiner played along identifying all the bits and telling him what they were for. He then playfully pointed out to me that "it would be so much less funny talking to a toddler about tools if he didn't have a fluffy pink poodle under his arm" -Yup!!! Mary is never very far away.:rotfl:
Todays 15 minute challenge : Time to start looking for your "darling notebook" for 2012 - keeping your eyes open for something beautiful that you can use for next year.
When you have found it - tuck it away in your cosy corner as we will need it later.

I have had to get on to the council about the school busits going really early and ds2 keeps missing it, he left at 7.15 this morning an got to bus stop at 25 past and the bus had still gone! the bus timetable is supposed to be 7.40!
Ok I have got apples pears clementines tangerines to use up, carrots parsnips and swede, I can do a dinner with some of the veg, just wondering about soup with the rest?, but apart from a fruit salad what can I do with the fruit? ds2 would like to have a go at chutneys etc so we have been saving Jars
Positive vibes to those who need them.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000
