You'll be fine Marru... Busy, stressed, but fine :D and we want to hear all about it when its over.

Reboiled the tablet... It took FOREVER but is done and most of it in jars/bags/boxes for presents. I need to hide the crumbs from myself as I feel sick due to eating rubbish for the last few days.

I have made a batch of cauliflower cheese, so will freeze some tomorrow, and have defrosted some sausages to make sausage and bean casserole tomorrow (must soak some beans tonight). Also need to cook some pasta as I have lots of cheese sauce left (I was using up ood UHT milk and cottage cheese) so thought macaroni cheese would be good comfort food.

There's still lots of mess around, and no decorations up, but I'm just going to have to pace myself... And maybe get more exercise and eat more greenery!

First proper day's work for two weeks tomorrow :( but I'm only doing a three day week so hopefully I'll manage....

  • Hi there ladies... thank you so much for the wonderful advice. I am seeing a solicitor on Tuesday, so I am going to be running everything past him for the disciplinary. I have seen the policy, I know precisely what they are alleging and I can prove that it is a pile of horse hocky. I have written everything down and set it our logically. Hubby has read it and thinks it is really good. He said, objectively, they haven't got a leg to stand on... which is how I feel. I am going to be going to the hearing, and I will be taking one of my friends with me. She is hyped up and ready for battle, and I trust her, so I know I have a back up. I am feeling confident actually, and not the least bit stressed, which I am putting down to you lot and your positive vibes. Thank you.

Right... won't be around tomorrow (work and the choir practice) so it is going to be Tuesday night before I can get back on here again... lots of love to you all. :D

So glad you are taking someone with you. That means that you don't have to concentrate on taking notes which is one plus straight away. Don't forget to take a list of points you want to make, so that they can't fluster you. And take YOUR time if they have allocated an hour and that isn't enough, then don't be put off. Don't let them rush you. It is their fault if they haven't allocated enough time to do a proper job of it. I am also glad you are running it past a lawyer too, that never hurts.

Well done on being so organised Crickett :D

The last time I accompanied someone (who worked for a different organisation) to a grievance hearing it took about three hours. I just took notes... I wasn't allowed to say anything, although we could go out to discuss things if the person concerned wanted to.

  • Hi Crickett,

Great news that you are so prepared. Give it to em!!

I am going to prepare for my nasty meeting on the 19th but a little bit at a time due to everytime I read the document that my manager wrote it gets me so angry!

So baby steps and all that for me then!

Best of luck and keep us all informed.

Well it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas :D

In 4 days time we're flying back to the UK. :j
DD & DS2 have bought the tree which we'll be decorating next Sunday :D
On-line shopping being delivered the morning we arrive :D (so decent coffee, decent newspaper, and croissants included)
I made mince pies *faints* and Popeye liked them. (He is a fan of them, I'm learning to cook :rotfl:)
One more Christmas party to go and some Christmas presents to buy :D

Crickett and Marru, you won't read this, we'll probably be in a new thread by the time you return :rotfl: but best of luck

    Gintot, can't find you :(

Sounds like everyone is off to a Matrix-kicking day today:j

So in thanks for your motivation I shall do some cookery posting on the blog - so whatdayawant?

Just to save us looking back through all of the threads you understand.:p

    So already got requests for:

    Scottish Tablet
    Mince Pies
    Pumpernickel bread
    Black Pepper oatcakes and
    Biscotti

So let me know what you fancy and I shall have a baking session to get some photographs.

Might get me more in a Christmas mood as my head is still so full of MFin3 stuff that I feel like I am just plodding through my paces.

So today's challenge - check you have the extra roll of bin liners to gather the paper on Christmas morning. We will be collecting ours to twist into firelighters for one of the old dears so want to keep it seperete from the rest of the cardboard and stuff.

Easy one for a Monday morning.

Anyone watch Peston on telly last night??? So glad I have you all to see me through the next few years cos if he was my mate I think I would have lost hope by now.

And watched "Black Mirror" OMG!!!!!!!!!!! should be required viewing for all of our teenagers .......... Charlie Booker is a very very smart man (and you have no idea how that pains me to say :p). Not a "pleasant" Sunday evening watch - please bring back "Garrows Law" :rotfl:

    Off to make festive
