MG - The Matrix Re-wired

Hello ladies...the weather is relatively dry and it was sunny earlier although I have noticed some black clouds appearing...will it ever stop raining? I am dressed in a fleece gilet and a thick fleece jacket and jeans.
Hope the interview went well Marru?
Positive vibes are needed for me on Monday morning please - I am so chuffed I have an interview (the first in 6 months). Whilst at R*mploy yesterday I was pointed in the direction of a telesales advisor job in a callcentre (this is not my ideal job at all because I think I am pretty rubbish at sales) well, I had a telephone interview this morning and the interviewer told me that she didnt ask me all the questions because I had answered so eloquently and politely and I was the only person who answered the phone correctly and said good morning. The job will be working 5 days over of 7 (I think there may be weekend work involved) and I could be working from 8am til 8pm but the job is in the city centre and is easy to get to as I can easily get the train or the bus and walk it. The salary is between £13-15K - the more experienced getting the higher rate. The interview will take 3hrs and will consist of a group session and some 1:1 sections too. Needless to say R*mploy are chuffed and this morning they are putting me in for a 16hr 6 month contract with a media company also in Brum. I knew that registering with them would work wonders:j
Thanks for the cushion tips - no piping necessary thank goodness:D
Last night I was spreading the word at the Business Club about vile bully and his istock images which he charges an arm and a leg for - needless to say he won't be getting any business from members and one fairly big company is now going to check their images to see if they are istock ones and have promised to pursue and remove him from their supplier list.0 -

That's what I am talking about
On average a person with a bad experience tells far more people than someone with a good experience.
All you have done is warned some ethical business people that someone is not playing fair - now they can do their own due diligence.
Bravo hon - well done on everything coming together.

Boys came home from school and park absolutely starving - so instead of making quiche they had omelettes (just the same but without the pastry) - much quicker but not nearly so pretty.
Question: Thinking of doing the Debt Free Stuff on MFin3 as Podcasts rather than a book - what do you think?

Productive day here managing to get through lots of stuff that has been loitering around and have started to move stuff from home to my new (favourite thing in life) filing cabinet at school - I love labelling files and putting things in them especially when it clears the clutter out of my house.
Also had time to mindmap my career to see where I am right now and where I need to focus my energies in the near future - was really interesting to see where I have come from and where I should be heading. I have also stopped fighting myself and maybe finally begun to be a responsible grown up:rotfl:Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

The house inches ever closer - the contracts were signed today but not exchanged as our solicitor is asking more questions and we need some indemnities. Mum most miffed that the delays have increased the solicitors bill to twice the original quote:mad: Now I need to start getting quotes for various insurances, and I need a locksmith to change the locks as recommended by the solicitor because we don't know exactly who has keys. Mum has said that she needs the front door which is currently upvc to have a latch that can be dropped down so that the door doesn't slam behind me locking me out. At this rate I can see myself moving in July as there are things that need to be done to the house (new fuse box), window lintels can wait.
Mum a bit upset that I have applied for and got an interview for a call centre as she doesnt want me doing telesales - I don't want to do telesales either but a job is a job nor does she want me stacking shelves on a night shift in a supermarket but I said that if it pays then I will do it as I can do it for 6 months or so and get something better.
Must admit that I am not particularly fond of podcasts but do see a need for them as some people are good at absorbing information from reading yet there are others who do better if they are listening to something. I know about such things because I have a friend who is a voiceover artist:)
Well, I need to start packing boxes (need boxes), need to start getting quotes too remembering to use good old Quidc* as Topcash still won't allow me to log in:mad:0 -
Horace, try this

explain to them you cannot log in, they should be able to assist you.
well done on potential interviews :j
I used to work in a Call centre. I started off there, within a few months I was promoted to run my own team and life just progressed from there for 9 years.
This might just be the foot in the door you need and then the only way is upyou maybe posting here in 3 months time that you are no longer working telesales but running your own team or something even better
It happened to me and we all know you have so much to offer and are so good, so won't be long

Thanks Horace and Aesop, interview went well (despite DD sneaking to stand behind me so she was in full view to the interviewers (sp?) but they luckily found it funny/charming. I won't hear until in one to two weeks time if I got the job.
It is darn exhausting being unemployed, first to have to get up early for the Skype interview, then actually do my filing to find all essential paper work, then dash to the job centre for interview and to sign on, then dash to the council to hand over my application form (40 pages) with all the evidence that I gathered. And somewhere there in between sending off one application and talking on the phone to one agent (that might have brilliant temp job for me that actually pays more than my previous job).
I am now shattered after all of that and miles of driving here and there and back again. I hope I get a job soon so I can get some rest. Oh and the auditing firm back home is still interested, need to call them tomorrow.
