Hello everyone. Just checking in before clambering into bed and falling asleep. I am soooo tired!

MG, I love what you said in your post. And agree wholeheartedly with all of it! :D

Managed to sing both at Church and through about three quarters of the extra choir rehearsal. Result! I am a bit croaky though... it is a big sing this concert coming up, but it is going to sound AMAZING! We have a lot of work to do before we are ready for the concert, but we wouldn't want to peak too early, now would we?!

So, it was nearly 6pm when I got home, and hubby was busy doing stuff on his computer. After the dog and cats had been fed and watered, I suggested we turned off the TV and played a board game. I bought a few months ago a board game called 221B Baker Street, and it was such fun! :D We are going to try and play another couple of games of it this week. Well, I am sure it is going to better for our brains than watching the goggle box all the time!

Have a list of things I want to achieve this week. If the weather is halfway decent tomorrow I want to get out into the garden and get weeding. I have put it off too much already, and it is getting desperate! I need to dig up and relocate quite a number of plants so I can get my raised beds into the right places to look nice and ordered and just so...! But weeding HAS to come first. :D And then it is choir practice as usual and late home.

Lots of love and positive vibes to the Matrix. I might pop in tomorrow morning sometime, if I get a chance!

Hooray after the Hoolies of yesterday.

Off to the Dentist later - prep for a crown, hope they leave me with an OK smile at the end of all of this. Fed up being the snaggle-toothed one.

The sun was shining here but as soon as I'm in the office the clouds are out. Hope they blow away again as I left the OH to put all the towels on the line when the washer has finished. He's officially back to work tomorrow, he's been off just over a month from a week holiday and then surgery so he'll be heading in to work today to pick up his shifts because the only phone number they will give him is the HR sick line and HR refuse to give shifts over the phone *sigh*

I'm so happy he's going back to work, it'll do him good and its much needed exercise in the travel. Hopefully it'll help him put some weight on too as he's borderline underweight :( Actually I think I'm more upset by this as he's only 3 pounds more than me and I'm a good 6 inches shorter.

A morning in the lab for me and then some meetings this afternoon before my Total Body work out at 4.30pm lets hope today flies. :)

Good morning. I am now officially unemployed :( as of today. I should probably find out what benefits I am entitled to if any as I resigned and not the other way around.

There is a silver lining thou. I am through to the second round for a job that is back home. I feel so sad as I have come to the conclusion that for my benefit I would like to stay here but for my DD's benefit I really need to go back. But putting the plusses and minuses in the line there a plenty of plusses for me in going back as well. I am thinking this as a 10 year project. I can always come back after that if I feel so.

Marru, make sure you clearly explain why you resigned. My friend was recently told she couldn't get JSA as she resigned so I persuaded her to go back and explain why and they've now reinstated her benefit while she job hunts.

Claire, I'm sorry to hear your young man is so poorly. Hopefully he'll recover quickly.

Marru - good luck with your interview. I hope you can take the path that will make you happiest.

    Good morning peeps.

I have done a fair bit today - it might not seem like much to some folks but for me it is a lot, having got rid of 3 bags of rubbish, washed up (more to be done later) and I have been making plans.

Must admit that I like being frugal but I still have the occasional treats e.g. the odd newspaper and the odd bar of chocolate. I might not be good with a needle and thread but I have now started sewing buttons on things if they fall off although the thread might be a lairy yellow so that I can see it:rotfl:

I forgot to mention that I saw a sofa similar to MG's in the H*me Sense shop last week but it really wasnt as nice as the one MG re-covered herself. I only realised recently that this store is part of TK Max. When I am a bit more flush I will go and have another look and see what I can pick up for the house as I can feel that house slowly coming to me:D

I might get in touch with our new council leader as he has vowed to get more of the 52,000 unemployed peeps into work by using the council's influence over major contractors. I would like a job thanks awfully:D

Hi to Crickett and Dotty! Love hearing about your exploits.

    Hugs to everyone else :)

Gemmzie your wedding is getting close - are you excited?

Been to a family wedding this weekend in the Lakes, which was lovely. We had a family meet up evening which was especially nice to reflect on Gran's funeral and to support my cousin who has had her breast cancer operation. It was nice to celebrate some happy moments and my cousin and his bride both looked radiant.

I am home for a short trip and my Granda seems to be doing really well. All the stories were coming out over coffee this morning. Although sad, he was still his usual twinkly self.

Am here until Thursday and then heading to Lancaster for a week for some crunch PhD meetings. Just trying to prepare but hard to keep my head on message! Still a bit to do for Wednesday deadline with lots of visiting too. But nothing to complain about.

    L xx
