Morning Matrix. Feeling miserable over in Crickettland. Still sick, after 7 whole days. :( However, have decided to be silly and go to a rugby match this afternoon. Stuff it. I am sick to death of the four walls surrounding me, and I want to get out and DO something before I die of over exposure to daytime TV!

Have just had to renew the car insurance. Holy Moses, that is expensive! :( However, it is a good deal (cos I shopped around) and because I renewed online, I got another £20 off the premium. Next is the tax disc (end of this month) and then I am okay until Sept for the MOT. Cars are so expensive, but for so many of us they are a necessary evil. :(

Plans for the BHW - not really sure. Today is rugby and then coming home to some kind of devastation from the puppy - hopefully just a shredded tissue, but you can never be sure - and then tomorrow is Church and Ikea on the way home. I want to get some new throws for the lounge, and to get some spares so we can wash the ones we have regularly. Very important with the Dotster and the fact I think she is going to go into season soon. Oh, lucky us!!

On Monday? If the weather is nice, then I think I will go into the garden and weed and move plants around and maybe even get the veggie raised beds ready for planting. Oh, and a nice long walk with hubby and the dog. And Choir practice. If the weather is bad, then probably inside, knitting, watching DVDs and choir practice.

Lots of love to all in the Matrix. Have a good one everybody.

Crickett is it worth putting pup in a crate when you go out that way he/she cannot destroy anything or do himself a mischief?

Claire - ouch at the phone bill. I once had one like that and I havent charged my phone since so I am just paying the contract until it expires. The contract being £35 a month:eek:

On Monday mum and I will be visiting the kind of store that sells towels, curtains, bedding, lightfittings and other household items - we are taking a notebook so that the things I like can be noted down until such time as we are ready to buy.

The house purchase is driving us all mad as the vendors cannot be trusted to keep their word, we have only just found out that the papers they had sent off two weeks' ago were only sent off on Wednesday of this week:mad: We have since told the agent that we are not going to arrange to go and measure up until we know for definite that the house is ours. One thing that our solicitor has pointed out to the agents is that most of the houses built on the esate where we are buying plus the new Great Park estate all have chancel trusts on them - something which the agents were unaware and probably most of the householders are unaware of too. They are amazed as to how thorough our solicitor is but then we are paying him a lot of money to do a proper job.

Hope you all have a fabby weekend.

Been and seen the Anthony Gormley men - ds spent ages running form one to the other to check they all had a willy (and shouting as much!) Was very cold but must have walked for miles on the beach and round the lake/play area so have two contentedly tired bunnies now. Jacket spuds and hm pizza for tea followed by a gift box of dipping chocs and sweet goodies that I forgot had arrived for my birthday.:)

Horace, thank you for the idea, but I am very anti tying Dotty up or putting her in a crate. She had such a bad start in life, especially ending up in the pound and the rescue centre, I just can't bring myself to do that to her.

However, I am very pleased to report that she just shredded a tissue! That, I can deal with!! :) Today was the longest we have left her at 6 and three quarter hours. We are working at getting her up to 8 hours, as that is the length of time I will usually be out when I am working again. I am pretty confident she will be able to cope with that because she routinely does 10 hours in a night and keeps herself clean and doesn't shred anything. One thing we have worked out though, is that she likes having the radio on when we are out! :) Radio 4 was playing all day for her, so she is thoroughly well educated too!! :D

The rugby was good too. Our team beat the opposition, and although it wasn't the prettiest match of rugby union ever played, I am pleased we won, and we are in the semi finals for the league title. As I said to my hubby, sometimes it doesn't matter HOW you win, it matters THAT you win! :D We have just had nachos for our tea, and they were absolutely scrumptious. Plans for the rest of tonight are to finish off my internetting and then knit until I fall asleep. So, about 15 minutes then!! :D

Have a lovely evening Matrix folks, and I will probably get back on here on Monday. Sunday is going to busy, busy, busy... as always!

Right, off to get my knitting and get into "The Zone" and crank out some squares for my friend's baby blanket! :D

    Morning Matrix...

Slept really well last night (must be the drugs I am giving myself - Beechams Cold & Flu knocked me flat!) and feel a little bit better, so I need to get going and get ready for Church. Don't think I will be singing this week though. Still got a graveyard hack. :(

After Church hubby and I are going to the local Ikea. I know it is a special circle of hell on a Bank Holiday weekend, but needs must. Besides, I have a yearn on for those meatballs they serve. :) We are not looking for expensive stuff, just some new throws for the lounge that might survive a Dotty! :)

Right, got to motor now, cos otherwise we will be late for Mass... which I was always raised to believe is nothing short of sinful... but then Dad is a punctuality maniac! :D

Love and positivity to all! Have a great one.

    Morning all

Crickett - I am always telling my dh and kids that God has been around for long enough to know that we will get there when we can - we often arrive at various stages in the service but at least we arrive and haven't been struck down by wrathful lightning yet!

Today is lovely and sunny again so debating bike riding in the park or Martin Mere with a picnic after church (members so no cost). Can't believe the weather man was so wrong for us.:)

Oh Boy - that made me laugh because I know exactly the book you mean.

I need a laugh because I am on (counts on fingers) hour 45 of my caffeine detox - horrible, horrible headaches which makes me think I have been slowly upping my consumption.

So a few reviving fresh juices today and some gentle planting of lettuce - nothing that involves actually using my brain cells you understand.

Tomorrow is supposed to pelt down -- so Mum is taking the kids to the Aquarium in St A - as long as I go along too "to answer all their questions!!" - Curious? My Boys? Surely not LOL
