Work this weekend for me, but not in a bad way. Am pottering through some outlines for my thesis so that is kind of hard but kind of exciting.

Ladies, you all have some very nice plans. I hope you have really wonderful holidays. I hope the weather will be much better than the forecast too! Hugs :)

MG: Well done to your friend! What an achievement.

    Bank holiday challenge er..........dunno

Actually dunno is more like depends on weather and the small ones, beyond swimming, dancing and church as usual the options are

    a) bike ride round park - DD has just got a mint condition new to us one for £40 and wants to put her old one up for sale but it is a much heavier adult bike and she needs some practice
    b) gardening as there is probably a lost tribe or two in the back garden particularly!
    c) clear and declutter our room and DD's room - need room for a new big bed for our room so going to minimalise stuff.
    d) look around for free bank holiday stuff
    e) sewing - cross stitching and maybe get the machine out
    f) library for free books on gardening and the machine
    g) a bit of baking - loving the AF sticky toffee pudding mix (yum)
    h) trip to beach to see Anthony Gormley's men - Dd is a sculpture fan and have been meaning to go for ever
    i) (Mum only) seriously long de-fuzz/rehydrate/pamper bath with candles and a glass of plonk
Am really looking forward to the weekend now and off to practice the last part of i) now :p

We went in half term - very surreal especially as the tide is coming in!

:( sorry to hear that Claire.

Can the mobile company put a limit on his phone, so that when he reaches it, it automatically stops him calling/texting?

Sorry to hear that Claire, have had those problems in the past too. I check my sons account online everyday now and warn him of his limit and charges as he does not seem to think about it. (The contract is still in my name but as he is older now he has to pay me back) Not much help for you now but perhaps for the future - and it does ease the pressure of those shock bills!

Oh Dear - what a nightmare Claire. So how does he plan to "pay" you back?

And I do hope that the phone is no longer in his possession........ consequences have actions, no rights without responsibilities, growing men not raising boys yada yada!!.

I am having detox day - being kind to myself and eating lovely food and juicing some juices ......................... kind of a spa at home day..... well at least until the boys get home tonight.

That and some 15 minutes decluttering -one or two maybe??

I have only one plan for the weekend - have some rest. Yesterday I sent the final version of a paper to a very, very tp journal and another one to a journal that is not that top (but then nothing else is). I am tired.

May do some writing but it will be 'fluffy' blog writing - to the extent to which I can do fluff, this is. Apart from that I am on a mission to make the weekend feels even longer by making it as boring as possible.

Amazingly we have sun today so bike or beach options are looking good. Smallbies are currently plugged into electric entertainments so I can steam through downstairs wm,dw etc before swimming and dancing.

Eeek at the phone bill Claire - hope he is going to pay back a lot of it for you and you can get some way to limit it in future. I dread the day when we actually have to give in to Dd and get her one.
