I hope that means Aldi have one too! I don't think there's a Lidl anywhere near me.

Asda do a Fair Trade one - cheaper than Nestle.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Bad luck on the job front Marru - it wasn't meant to be (their loss and all that).

MG that Mocha Choc sounds ace - I may make some when I have such gubbins in - so far I only have coffee granules and strawberry milkshake powder which I don't think will go. An afternoon on the sofa sounds fab.

My eyes keep going squiffy and I keep going dizzy so I am not doing so well on the computer today which is a right pain as I am part way through an extensive application form. I hate al this applying for jobs but needs must.

Claire - no help means no tree, no nothing (keep a hidden treats box for yourself though). Must admit that last year my christmas dinner was beans on toast and my boxing day dinner was stuffed rolled pork loin. This year will be different and I am toying with the idea of putting the tree up (hence all the cleaning and tidying going on). The table that I use for my telephone and lamp is going to move so that it blocks the balcony door (I have no intention of going out onto that this winter).

I have decided that the next time I am in the supermarket that I shall get a box of licquorice allsorts for Dad as they are his favourite including those horrid bobbly ones. I have a present for Mum that I purchased in 2009 - bought from Bicester Shopping Village and in a sale too from Penhaligons - some gorgeous bluebell scented bath oil which is her favourite. I have spread my treats amongst two christmas boxes.

Have a good afternoon - stay in the warm if possible - I am off to rest my eyes again.

Well bedroom is taking a lot longer than I thought, but at least I have found the floor, the xmas decs have been brought down so the ottoman is clear, so its just the bed needing changing and the floor by the window sotred and 2 black bags of rubbish to be put in the bin, then it is the floor hoovered and sills washed and yay! a nice clean bedroom :)

Been hard work but it will be nice to have the bedroom as the bedroom and not a storage ground for ds1's room like it has the last 3 weeks or more.

DH keeps having a go at me at the state of our house, I will tidy it all up and then slowly but surely my mess starts creeping out again. problem is we don't have a lot of storage room and i have a lot of stuff I want to sell rather than give to charity or freecycle. I need to as we are are living bare to the bone at the moment. But have told myself if it doesn't sell after 3 attempts, charity or freecycle. no point hanging onto it for ever.

    I need some advice ladies.

We have damp in our front rooms, and by front door and back bedroom. Landlord has finally agreed to get someone to fix it, he seemed to know what he was talking about, but he decided he was coming round when we were out at work and no notice. So no work has been done.

Our house is cold and smells of damp. I don't want to buy a dehumidifier as I know people will suggest this, I am trying to keep down electric costs and gas, as dd £70 each month and would like to get this lower but no chance with DH constantly complaining how cold house is.

I already have draft excluders at the doors with gaps, the cloth type, not the ones that go on doors, our doors are not cut straight - at LL, he will get cowboys in. Now debating to get those and put them on doors.

anyhow, bedroom curtains are too long, go over radiator, cannot afford to buy new ones, local lady wants to charge £35 to shorten them, and I don't have that money and for that would rather buy new ones.

so we fold them up to try to keep heat in but room is still cold!

sooooo I know people suggest fleeces from tesco but not sure if I can get any from ours and would have to go further afield to buy them, but i have some egyptian cotton towels from bhs. From glitch last year, too many more than we need, and I was wondering if I pinned these behind the curtains, do you think this would keep heat in?

I was going to try and sell them but then thought they might be useful.

PS I am totally rubbish at sewing!

Good day, all. I am just back from the land of extreem business (and Brussels). Thinking about all who need it and well done on all successes. (too many to mention individually).

My news is that yesterday I did the mega, ultra stressful talk (can't go into detail but trust me on this one; it was a very high pressure, power and influence one) I worked on for ages. Regretting not asking for the support of the Matrix but from what I have been reading you all have loads to cope with. It is done, it went really well (have been receiving feedback since) and I am not doing anything as stressful until next September or so. Other news is that today I had a conversation with someone from overseas lands which is very likely to turn into a bit of 'side hustle'. Negative wealth, here we come.

Also, very surprisingly I got an approach from someone who wants to write posts for my blog. The e-mail said 'I have been reading for sometime now and your content is really excellent; would you give me the opportunity to write for you.' Interesting. I certainly can't hire a staff writer (and this will be defeating the pusrpose anyway - namely having some fun writing) but it feels good. I suppose this is going to be happening more often with the blog being in the top 2% of blogs worldwide and moving into the 1%.

you landlord has a responsibility to keep the house free from health hazards, this is what our local council says - http://www.cambridge.gov.uk/ccm/content/housing/advice-for-tenants-and-residents/housing-repair-complaints.en

it might be worth while speaking to the housing section of your council.
