Dora that's great news on the job front, sounds like you have been taking on extra responsibility, and developing your skills and talents for a while now. I hope it will lead to a great new job or promotion whenever it's a good time for you.
Gosh - hope all your Northerners are doing okay. Winds not too bad here but I have seen the news. Lucky I got the suitcase of baby clothes from my sister on Tuesday as she's in Stirling. The clothes are all in such good condition - the Babies' home in Kampala is going to be happy with them I hope.
I got my second draft chapter in yesterday. It was a bit pants, but at least something has been handed over. Got a lot on but hanging in there!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Jeepers it is windy out there - I feel sorry for the Scots as they are having it worse than here. I nearly got blown off my feet this morning when I went out to the bin (3 times with 3 sacks of rubbish). The house cleaning is going well with more to be done. I quite fancy tidying up my office and moving furniture around (shock horror). The wind has worsened and it is very dark, earlier I had to resort to putting the heater on because it was so cold.
Discovered too that my loo is leaking from the waste pipe again so I need to get them to fix it - why they can't to a proper job the first time gawd only knows - I have been having toilet troubles for the last 18 months.
Hope every one is safe in these horrid winds..0 -
Both boys are now back home - so we are drawing our curtains, putting on the heating and cuddling up on the sofa with a Christmas Video.
Normal service will be resumed later

The weather is frankly foul in my little corner of northern England. It's not snowing, but incredibly windy and such aggressive rain! It's also COLD. I managed to resist the urge to put the heating on for extra spells during the day yesterday, but I'm not sure I can show such fortitude again today.
I love the sound of mocha MG, but I don't think I've got any milkshake powder in, unfortunately. Can you buy any that's not made by Nestle?
I have done pretty much nothing today, except take DS to a play session. I just want to hibernate until the weather improves.SPC - Number 14250 -
Need to sort bay window out of the craft stuff, so we can get the xmas tree up, I asked for help and ds2 said that "dad said we are not to help you clear your junk" not impressed
What the other have said. It is official: now you don't need to pick up after the male of the species in you home anymore
Oh and didn't get the job in my homelandbut on the other hand I am in a middle of big project that I do want to see through
and it gives me more time to get rid of stuff
Stay safe everyone"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

some of the bedroom done
1 black bag of rubbish later, I now have a walkway to the bed, without having to climb over a pile of stuff
back is starting to hurt so I need to sit for a while before I do anything else, but hopefully by the end of today I will have 1 tidy bedroom.
Have put a pile of stuff back in ds1 bedroom he needs to sort plus he has 2 boxes to empty and find homes for the items and a load of clothes.
Dh will have to move the stuff off the landing and out of ds2's room as it is too heavy for me to lift.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
