That's horrible crickett - take it one step at a time. Also check your disciplinary procedure re verbal and written warnings and begin to keep a diary of events as they unfold in case you need them.(Ex Union Rep, only Equity though)
But mainly -lets work together to help you find a way into your perfect job (with perfect people to work with)
Well "Hurricane Bawbag" has blown itself out and my humdinger of a headache has passed (I think the falling pressure yesterday got to me) It is as calm as anything out of my window this morning, although I I believe snow is forecast for later.
Christmas starts today for DS2 - he is off to see The Singing Kettle this afternoon so he is up early and very excited.
All cleared up in case the carpenter gets on site today - but the main thing is ................
............. been approached to do another interview! Mmmmm!! Remember my "walks like a duck"?? Beginning to see more clearly how the MFi3 project should progress and am itching to get a wiggle on with it (although completing DS2 room is a huge part of that, well about 13K over three years of that).
So today I shall be mostly working with a notepad at my side.

Thanks Buffy, that is really helpful.
I do try to leave at least one window open when we are in the house, and when I dry clothes in the bedroom, open both windows. Last time I did this, DH went and closed one! I explained why I was doing it and he said he didn't realise.
I am trying to get them both to keep doors closed, DS and DH but they struggle with the concept. Especially DH when he is using the bathroom!0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: You have a way with words. :T:T
Do they reply "Oh, I never thought of that!"?
Hugs to all who need them and good vibes as well. I'm glad no one had serious problems in the gales. Here, we got away with it with just lorries and trees blown over and a bit of flooding but it didn't affect me. The worst that happened here was that someones compost bin appeared in my front garden - blown over the 4' railings.
Now, it has gone windy again, it is sleeting, the sun is shining. Changeable? But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Crickett as a recent branch secretary of the biggest union in the UK (left in 2007), keep a diary of what is said/was said to you, keep copies of emails and correspondence - do not keep these at work keep them at home. Certainly don't accept a written warning on your file as it is like admitting your guilt when you have done nothing wrong. Your HR should provide you with a copy of the disciplinary and grievance procedure, if they haven't then ask for it. Remember that you can take a union rep or work colleague with you to any disciplinary meetings as your witness. HR always seem to have this knack of twisting things and denying all knowledge if you attend a meeting with them alone (I know from experience). The onus is on the boss's boss to prove that you were using the internet when you were not supposed to - check a copy of your company's internet usage policy. Check any correspondence that you have received about internet usage - even make a note of others in the office who are using the internet in their break times (if they are getting away with it then it shows a precedence that you cannot realistically be punished for). Whatever you do, do not accept a written warning on your file - it implies guilt where there is none and it is something that may follow you to other jobs because who knows what HR will say when asked for a reference.
If you go the constructive dismissal route and then decide to take the case to an employment tribunal you need to demonstrate to them that you have exhausted the company's procedure e.g. disciplinary plus appeal, grievance etc. Remember that you can make a formal grievance of victimisation against your boss's boss.
Aesop - I had terrible damp when I moved into my flat, I used cheap tubs with white granules in which removed the damp from the air. I had a spot of mould in the front bedroom but treated that with Polycell Mould Killer spray - although the mould stain is still there is no longer active. I am not sure if you live close to me or not - if you do, you are welcome to have some of these pots with a bag of granules.
I hope everyone is safe after the horrible wind yesterday - Hurricane Bawbag was trending on Twitter yesterday:rotfl: It was extremely windy here but nothing like you had up North - it is considerably colder here today but at least the sun is out.
More stuff has been tidied away/dumped - so things are looking better:D I found a bag of presents that I had bought back in 2009 and had never given away so I have kept the bar of lime soap (it smells divine) and this has gone into my treats box along with a lovely enamelled bookmark. A bottle of handmade italian bathsalts is being squirrelled away and the bear shaped honey & almond soap on a rope is being wrapped to send to my chum in Wisbech.0 -
To help remove excess moisture from the air and generally dry things up, you can use (preferably glass) containers with any form of salt in. Large bags of salt designed for de-icing can be picked up at not a bad price - or if you want to trial it, start with a jamjar and some cooking salt! If the jar fills with water, you can drain this off, pop the salt on a baking tray in a warmish oven (residual heat once you have cooked) and re-generate it to go again!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
