Well DH has come home tonight and decided that DS is not going to the 5th choice school I put down and will be home schooled. His reason - " because DS is not going to a school in ******." Why? The one I want is not local? It is next to where I work, but that is not the reason I chose it. I chose it as it has the best reputation for teaching.

I hoped to not be working here in September, but still wanted DS to go there.

"well, how are you going to get DS to the school?" No idea, I need to work out what public transport goes there! My friend has applied and got a place there, and is happy about it, so if we do end up there, maybe she will be kind enough to give my DS a lift. But I cannot guarantee that.

Oh dont get me started on that one Dora.............. And then there is the mini lecture on 101 reasons why you should not be be EVER a 'friend' on facebook with any of the parents:eek: They ( trainees/students etc)just dont get it and I have some horror stories:eek: Goes without saying NEVER add a pupil to your facebook - now teaching 4 and 5 year olds you wouldn't think that was problem......think again!

Am still trying to explain to existing staff why they shouldn't be facebook friends or even hand out their home/mobile numbers out to pupils, parents or trainees either. Have had to help sort out some awful problems in the past, people are SO naive.

Morning ladies - oh yes the issues you have when your "contacts" are out there.

A very "nice" young man emailed me a picture of his - well unmentionables - this morning - says he is looking for a cougar.

Was almost tempted - I am kidding LOL. Gentlemen only need apply.

Still - brought a giggle to morning proceedings.

Now onto the list from hell

    Lunches
    Drive DS1 to school
    Drop DS2 at forest kindi
    Post Office
    Bakers for yeast
    Bank for transfers
Dentist - yes veneer is off AGAIN and needs to be handed in
Desk - Yakezie, Pennythots and New Book outline
Pick up DS2 from Forest Kindi
    Bath and lunch
    Dye my hair
    Pack two rucksacks for sleepover
    Thank you letters delivered
    Weekly shop
    Pick up DS2 from school
    Drive to Grandmas
Visit Grans Best Friend to drop off marmalade
    Drive back home again

.............. then find something half coherent to post.

Thank goodness all the chores get done on ONE day LOL

I know about someone else who did it; but he rested on the seventh day :).

PS: You probably already guessed that I had a good night sleep for the first time for ages and am feeling mischievous.
  • Good Morning Matrix.

I am not feeling so good today. I felt pretty rough yesterday, but even worse today. :( It's a shame because I have a lot of stuff I want to get done in the house. I might have to try 15 minutes blitzes and music from my MP3 player to get me up and dancing.

I have also received two books about dog training. Hubby and I want to make sure that Dotty is a well behaved canine citizen, and we feel a little bit like we are lost in a forest at the moment. So the books will hopefully give us a little bit of guidance. From what I have read so far, it will certainly help! :D Now I just need the concentration span to read further!! :D

    Morning all.

Crickett I know a dog whisperer who may be able to assist and I also know that Marru does a bit of dog charming too:D

I got up fairly late today (8.45am) and so far have been to the village to the post office as I wanted to buy stamps - I have now stocked up:j I also nipped to the co-op for donuts from the whoopsie shelf and a carton of pink grapefruit juice and I am wondering why grapefruit juice is so hard to get hold of these days?

I drove to the house today - I have no idea why I keep torturing myself because the sign clear states that it is for sale although the agents reckon that it isnt. These vendors are the vendors from hell as the agents seem only to be able to deal with the nephew who is hard to contact and lives in Loughborough when one of the other executors lives in Stourbridge and it is her solicitors that my parents solicitors are dealing with. I also looked at the garden to see what plants there are in the front garden and how I would love to get my mitts on the weeds there.

In other news I have received notification from the court that my divorce has been approved and that there will be a costs hearing on 21 May which I don't need to attend - I would like to attend a) to see what goes on and b) to state my case for money because I have paid into that house for 25 years and supported him when he was on the dole for 3 years (he never signed on) so I feel that I should get something. He told me that I would only get money if I got a job and he wanted new windows in the house - I waited 25 years for some new ruddy windows:mad: Anyway the decree nisi will come through soon and then I need to wait 6 weeks and one day to get the absolute and then I will be free of him for ever:j

I nipped into the Black Horse bank today and picked up some leaflets about savings accounts - I am hoping to open one, I hope they accept me as a customer despite my poor credit at the moment, anyway my parents have banked with them for over 50 years so that must count for something and I only want to open a savings account. I don't like keeping my money in one place and like to spread it around.

If you need to shop at Lidl MG this weekend, there is a £5 off £30 spend in Daily Star or Daily Express.

but you probably don't need to spend that much in there. Was just looking at your store cupboard pics on the blog, did you get mash from AF?
