  • Well done EE and Hubby, Wonderful news :)

I think I need to add myself to the new job list. I can't bear going to work (I know the redundancy thing makes it horrible, but it's just vile.) I can't stand the thought of trampling over my colleagues to get the job in the structure I need to maintain my bill repayments and something resembling a life. They want us to fight each other then work together perfectly on the 1st August.

In that vein I have decided I will look for new jobs, but not just in my current location, but all over the UK. I applied for a lovely one in Bristol which I would really like.

Did I say I love being on holiday and that I am so much calmer - OK I do.

So, even though I tipped a tin of paint all over the floor yesterday, I don't care, I will just spend today laying new floor. Yay!

    Hello peeps.

Ut us a grey, drizzly day today but fear not I am indoors wearing two fleeces and have no plans to go out. I have food for dinner and minutes to type. It was the Club's AGM last night and I had forgotten that I needed to take minutes..sigh, I was hoping too that I would be able to stand down but no other mugs were willing to stand so I am it for the next 12 months.

My Virgin TV box has died but Virgin are going to change it tomorrow :j It is frustrating as there is a programme I am keen to watch which is on the Home channel:mad:

I havent updated my NTW website for months but the guy who set it up for me told me that a member of his staff had cleared the spam from it and updated the software. I should start blogging again really so need to talk about business things. Hopefully I can earn some money from the blog. He also mentioned that he was setting up another company and that there may be the opportunity for some paid work (I am not holding my breath). He has been a good friend and has hosted my websites for free because he knows how skint I am.

MG - on your blog I note that you have a link to FW's site, You need to set that link up as an external link to open in a new window rather than just having the words there for people to copy and paste into their own browser. (I am assuming that your blog has been created in wordpress? - If so it is very easy to do).

GREAT news for your DH, EE!!

MG - my supervisor is in a very remote location without internet so it's a bit of a structural problem atm. But I will meet my other supervisor today, and think about how best to talk together when we will finally all be in the same place in May. Fingers crossed for that.

    Nice day everyone :)

In your admin phase on the site (the bit where you type your words in and other jiggery pokery). Click on the link - click on the little world symbol with the paperclip on it (there is a button on there) a little window will pop up and you enter the web details in there and ask if to open up in a new window. That way people can look at the site they have been directed to, read what they want and return to your own site.

Talking of blogs I need to do something with mine..hurries off to find various log ins to go and play

Hugs to Crickett. I was in the exact same position as you not so long ago, and used to feel so much guilt that I was jealous and not just feeling joy for my friends. Very long story short, I ended up having therapy where the wonderful therapist told me to be kinder to myself, and allow my self these natural feelings without judging myself so harshly and that she knew I would never be as hard on others as I was myself. It's silly that I had to have these things pointed out to me, but it really did help.

So go with your natural feelings and just give yourself a massive mental hug.

MG, can I ask how you 'programmed' for your two lovely littles!? I think it is something I would be very interested in thinking about.

Oh and loving the blog by the way. Talk about full of emotional highs (with a few lows of course, but only natural!) And glad you haven't posted any of your lovely recipes over the past fews days as I'm trying to diet and looking at your lovely food always makes me hungry!

    Take care everyone

First - wot she said crickett ^^^

"Programming" is a term used by Jack Black of Mindstore. Basically his premise is brain is bio-computer and you can programme it daily with great or not so great stuff.

He uses guided visualisation to get you to relax and then programme a future scenario where you get your specific goal. Every time you then think about he future scenario you always think about having succeeded rather than the current reality.

So I "programmed" for my first by seeing the joy he would bring into my extended family - by concentrating on the "benefits" he would bring to us all. And he has in spades.

My second, well for some reason I programmed that I would meet my ex and have to tell him I was pregnant (he is in SA) - and that scenario kept playing around and around my head every time I drove to and from work - just kept popping in there.

Three months later we visited SA - and on the the journey home I suddenly went completely off coffee - Yup, you guessed it. Never did tell the ex I must have been pregnant during the holiday - but I must have been.

Jack just laughs when I "blame" him for both of my kids :rotfl:

Trying to commit to foodie stuff at weekends - something in a jar on Saturdays and for the Baking Tin on Sundays .................. that way I can do it with the kids.
