Oh Matrix, I need to howl at someone, so will you forgive me if I have a big old pity party for a moment?

Going to curl up in a corner and have a sob I think.

Huge huge hugs Crickett, I know just how unbelievably painful this news can be. Treat yourself kindly, and a good howl, followed by a small glass of something is called for. Thinking of you

GreenBee - Wed might work, will get back to you tomorrow.
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Oh Crickett, I don't know what to say, nothing really helps right now, but have a big hug from me. You have come so far in the past while, deciding how you want your life to be, you need to have good cry then get on with life as it is. I bet you will make the best auntie in the world for your friend. xx

I have just found out from my oldest and dearest friend, that she is expecting a baby. It is very unexpected as they had fertility problems but they are really thrilled. I am really thrilled for them. I am. Honestly. But I am also feeling very down about it. Heather was the only one of my long term, really good friends not to have a baby... and now... I am the only one who is left. I feel incredibly left out of the "baby club" and all that comes with it. :(

Going to curl up in a corner and have a sob I think.
(((Hugs))) you know I know exactly how you feel :(
That's crap news Greenbee - OH's Dad, not the meet-up obviously. Hope they get some food and liquids into him and he rallies.

Trying to re-write the book blurb on the blog - trying a FAILING miserably!!! Why is it some times the words come and some times they don't?
I've come to the conclusion they are male and grumpy... I think I currently have writers block... all it took was getting behind on one paper in March, and the whole house of cards has fallen apart... so I really need to get my act together.

You howl hon - howl all you want. You are allowed to be delighted and jealous as hell at the same time - tis only natural.

Now is your time - to walk the doggie and walk yourself into a brand new life one step at a time. Letting go of the old crappy past, the stress and tension.

Then, when you are in a stronger place you can deal with all the rest.

BTW There is a four year old up here that wants to move in cos he is in love with the dog (send me your address and I will pop him in the post)

  • Thank you ladies, you are, as ever, utterly lovely!

MG, DS2 is very welcome. He might not fit through the letter box though!! :D

Since we got Dotty I have dropped one dress size and 5 extra pounds. :) Need to do some calculations and see if I need to update my signature.

So Dotty has already moved you nearer to your goal. Once you have your health sorted out and now that you have got rid of all the stress that went with the job, then you are giving yourself the best possible chance that it will happen for you, too
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
  • Impressive weight loss and I guess the Dotty-walking is building stamina and muscle too. Well done Crickett! :T:T
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Hugs Crickett and as everybody else have said you are on the way to fulfill your hearts desire with what you have had the courage to do and continue doing.

Oooh - I have now possible three interviews lined up for me. One of them would require relocation to the south coast. I am sure one of them will be the perfect next job for me. And my CV is doing rounds back home thanks to one FB friend who I worked with over 20 years ago.

Hugs Crickett, but on the positive if they had "issues" and finally succeeded maybe you could too ??? Don't know all your details, so forgive me if I am out of line here.

Well done Marru, that sounds really positive. I hope so much that one of these is just the perfect job for you.

    Crickett - (((((((((((((((((((((HUGE hugs)))))))))))))))))))))

Igamogam - make sure and look after yourself :D

Robsmum - glad you had a good Easter, glad to see you back

Today had seminar with big cheese Professor lady who was just amazing amazing amazing. She really helped me with the problem I was stuck on, and all in 15 minutes :rotfl:

Unfortunately one of my supervisors can't make our meeting tomorrow and I think might not be able to meet until May as she has no internet :( Gosh I could do with her help really soon. I am getting to the point where a bit of extra focussed input would pay big dividends in my development. I hope that things will work out that this time can be found somehow.

    Good night all!
