I agree Buffy - its only when you are ready to accept the mistakes and put them behind you rather than keep making the same darn ones time and time again have you got any chance of making real changes.
Just finished watching "Funny Girl" with the boys - littlie s whizzing around singing "Peeeeeeeeeeople who neeeeed peeeeeeople!!" - very funny

I have ham stock and ham bits in the freezer and the chicken from the carcuss in a tub cooling and chicking stock cooling to go into freezer, Need to buy veg as I used the last yesterday.
Rice pudding is now in the slow cooker, once we have all had some will freeze the rest in portions.
I'm trying to build up a few "ready meals" for the freezer so when food and money is running low we have dood to fall back on, or if we can't be bothered to cook then the "ready meals" can be pingedso any suggestions to get us to the end of the month without spending a lot on food will be greatly received.

Ooops!! DS2 has slipped in the bath - so we are off on an adventure tomorrow with a huge fat lip. Thankfully he has just bitten his lip, not his tongue and his teeth are all fine ............. but boy!! the blood.
He is being brave "now he is a big boy" - bid deal for him this fourth birthday I think.

Hello Matrix!
Well, to be honest, I haven't done any of the things I set out to do this morning. But have had a very satisfactory day all the same!
We have moved the furniture around in the lounge which is a job I wanted to do for ages. It looks really lovely - I still need to dust, polish, hoover and carpet wash... but the heavy lifting has been done! And we took Dotty out for a long walk in the rain (which was surprisingly enjoyable actually!) and have done some relaxing, which is important for hubby because he has four weeks of hell when he gets back to work. So my job in the next month is to make home really restful for him. Here's hoping I can do it anyway!!
Time to make my list of things to do tomorrow!
See you tomorrow Matrix!

Great to see you so positive Crickett!
Have a great trip MG.
Just back from the weekend with my parents, which I mostly spent being snotty and ill. Instead of two parties, a concert and lots of long walks I spent the time in bed/in front of the fire with the cat, and pottering 5 minutes up the road each dayI am now back on antibiotics with instructions from my dad to keep the house warm and the windows shut to minimise draughts (although they will need to be open when the floors are varnished tomorrow...).
Spare room looks great, so hopefully my cousin will be back tomorrow or Wednesday to finish the bedroom window (then I can finish putting stuff back in there) and do the first coat of varnish on the spare room floor so it will be finished by the weekend and I can shift all the junk back and reclaim my study.
I have a long list for this week, which includes calling the bathroom people who were supposed to call me back weeks ago to arrange to come and fix the bath panel, ordering the new bed for the spare room (I want a 2'6" daybed with a guest bed that comes out to make either a double or two singles), decide where the new curtains are going and measure for a blind with the leftover fabric, working out what I want the carpenter to come back and do and emailing him to work out tentative dates and get him to quote, and booking a cookery course that I have a voucher for...
Just need to do this week's meal plan (food mostly supplied by my mum...), then have a bath and head off to bed.
Work tomorrow, if I remember ;-)0 -
MG, thank you for the cuppa and cake
As for the house, it's nowhere near as bad as you think it is! Haha, there was me thinking I looked like a 'tink' as I hadn't even straightened my hair (sorry about that). Your house is honestly lovely and will be amazing when it's finished.
I've only just got back, so I'll read later and catch up. Have a lovely time with FW.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Hi Guys! I haven't had chance to catch up but I hope everyone's ok. I did notice it was your little man's brithday MG, so I hope he had a fab day.
I've been making a concerted effort to get my little venture going this week. Between that, entertaining the boys and trying to maintain a reasonable level of tidyness in the house I have had NO spare time!! I've had several nights where I've been up way past midnight and that does not bode well for me. Tonight's been a 'night off' as a friend has visited and hasn't long left. Once school / work returns, I think I need to create a schedule for myself to fit everything in. I know that the business is going to take most of my time, but other things can't be ignored. I'm feeling positive though and very excited. I'm hoping I can make this year be my year for me and the boys.
I'm staying with another friend for a couple of days. I would really like to be at home continuing with what I've started, but my friend needs a friend so we're off tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with everyone at the weekend.
Take care allOne step at a time0 -
Up early - finishing the packing for our next adventure.
Good news is that it is no snowing this time - but it is chucking it down with rain - but it is Scotland, give it ten minutes that may change LOL.
Taking on board some suggestions about adding great tools onto the blog - I have posted my favourite the "Wheel of Life" exercise - the first step in identifying what needs to be tweaked in your life.
Have fun playing with it - more to follow.
Now I had better go and find out how DS2's lip has fared overnight.

Have a great trip MG! Hope the little feller's lip isn't too sore this morning!
I have started my mega-list for today and I am getting on really well. After my little break (to drink some water!) I am off to do some more! Lots more to do though. Hopefully I will be able to post some ta-da's later!
