Will be thinking of Crickett and TMIF this morning.

Have been thinking about Claire and Tenmah and her daughter recently, particularly when the WWMGD jewellery idea was mentioned. Haven't seen them on here lately, hope you are all ok.

Bit quiet for us at the moment, though looking forward to our hols next week.

..and Claire - hope your last few hours go really painlessly... it will be 12 before you know it, and then you can enjoy your new furbaby xxx

Hope you get the outcome that your heart is longing for (although your head may be telling you otherwise).

I am getting ready for a short trip to Brussels - have this really big thing tomorrow (I organised the gathering of many people high up in the research funding game around Europe and the team I lead are presenting our research for the last three years).

I so much wish that it is a great success and an enjoyable event - is the Universe listening?

And let's hope I won't have a stroke by tomorrow evening or something - feeling very, very worked up about the whole thing. Though I know that I'll enjoy it tomorrow.

Well done Crickett:jWhat a great weight lifted from your shoulders. Look after yourself and enjoy the calm. Have a lovely time with Dotty. (She looks so like my old dog who was a rescue dog also. I loved that dog dearly and still miss him. The most perfect baby ever)

Good luck TMIF. Hope you get the result you want also.

Morning peeps. Blimey you do yack, I leave you for a day and then have reams to catch up on:eek:

I spent all morning at the eye hospital yesterday - a regular clinic appointment turned into a little bit more. I wasnt able to sort my specs out with the dispensing optician as he had closed for stock take - this is a guy who started work there in October and since then has had nearly 2 months off on holiday:mad: No point in sticking a notice on the door saying to ring for an appointment when nobody answers the ruddy phone:mad: I complained in clinic so now I will be getting a new appointment for my eyes to be tested and then I can go into the dispensary to sort my specs out.

My left eye has been uncomfortable for a short while and it would seem that I am having a bad flareup of uveitis:( This is the first major flare up since December 2007:( My eye drops have been increased in that eye from once a day to 2hrly plus I have to take a dilating drop at night so no reading for me:( Anyway I did some good deeds whilst I was there - I agreed that a medical student look at my eyes under the guidance of Prof's registrar and I allowed a visiting consultant to look as well. I also helped Prof and his registrar (such a dishy chap) by agreeing to have photos taken of my eyes and these will be used in a research paper:cool: I am waiting in for the chemist as they are going to deliver the prescription - 16 boxes of preservative free eye drops that need to be kept in the fridge and I already have 2 boxes in there and barely enough room for food:(

Nipped to the court yesterday to hand in an affidavit and to have it witnessed - now I wait for the judge to decide. Fingers crossed he will agree to the divorce as I do not want to be married to the control freak any longer. Then I need to wait 6 weeks and a day before asking for the absolute. Forgot to ask when they make a decision on the money as I have asked for a lump sum (the furniture is family furniture that was loaned to us so he has to give that back and he has agreed this already).

Anyway best crack on as I have much to do - minutes, applications, online payment of visa card. This afternoon I shall take my pennies and go to Aldi to buy some gardening clogs and a garden implement plus a box of rice crispies.
