I haven't seen the post, it was already deleted. But it could be a case of wanting to go back to when everything was personally all right, not wanting things to have changed? Enjoy your brew MG (I've seen the pictures!!) and then keep on keeping on - you're going in the right direction
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Thanks mary - and the brew tastes fab out of my special mug - a real affirmation from the future.

I guess we may be spotting this mug in the background of lots of pictures in the future LOL

Brilliant blog post MG - I am really loving the mug:D

I havent done much this afternoon - I cooked up burger and chips for lunch and then had a snooze on the sofa whilst watching the budget. It was a good budget in some respect and in others it wasnt e.g. fuel duty and pensioners. Soon it will cost an extortionate amount just to fill the car, I put £10 in on Sunday which isnt anywhere near enough but it will last me a couple of trips or so to my parents. I hadnt filled the car since November when I put £50 worth in and since them I have done 400 miles and £10 was all I could afford at the time.

I am making plans to change banks too - I dislike FD extremely. I will make the switch when I move house and that way I can be clear out of the overdraft - not that FD will allow me to have a bank account as my incomings are too low for them despite my banking with them since 2003. Wonder if they will give me £100 when I leave?:rotfl:

Missed Fantasia's post so can't comment but enjoy chatting to whoever is on here on whatever journey (and secretly nicking ideas left, right and centre form everyone!)

Tired but off for another walk/run later after getting on with some of that schoolwork - dd marked some maths last night and ds scrubbed the kitchen cupboard fronts (he thinks water and a sponge are the best thing ever) so all family helping shift the stuff.

(oh and secretly relieved the chancellor is letting me keep my child benefit as I was £65 over his previous cut off point and unable to salary sacrifice or pay more pension to reduce income)

Love the mug MG, and I have bookmarked the creators site for further investigation (if I ever find the time).
Wanted to say hi to Cricket, I feel for you, sending hugs and positive thoughts your way, depression is such an awful thing to try and live with, especially when your job is getting you down so much. You really should take some sick leave, your health (mental or physical) is so important and the break might give you a chance to rest, potter in the garden or whatever else you can manage, but trying to struggle on like this is just not going to help in the long run. Medication will help, but there is so much more to it as you know. Please take care of yourself, work can wait till you are feeling better.

And thank you to all on this thread... present, former and future. The Matrix is, in my opinion, a living organism. It will change and shift as things change. Some people will come, others will go, but the Matrix will continue.

Had a slightly better day at work today, but was a stressed old bunny for most of it. Managed to deliver the bad news to my Dean, as well as offer some possible strategies for the School to achieve what they want to do. We both had a whinge about the way things work and I think we both felt better for it. Oh, and my Boss was quite happy with the information I provided. Phew.

Tonight, I am on my own because Hubby is at a Church meeting. I could have gone, but I decided to come home and spend some time on my own instead. I went to Mr M's again and got some Mozzarella light and some lovely Tomatoes and had that with some rapeseed oil and salt and pepper drizzled over it, followed by a one person serving of fresh pasta and sauce. It was utterly delicious, and very luxurious. :D

Tomorrow I probably won't come online as I have my counselling in the evening and I will be so flipping tired after that, I will probably come home and go straight to bed. I hope you all have a wonderful evening and a great day tomorrow.

    See you all again soon!

  • Oh, and I forgot to say earlier... I was really, really restrained when I went to Mr M's... previously, I would have gone and bought tubes of Pringles and skittles and all kinds of rubbish and eaten that when I was on my own. I don't know what is different, but yesterday I bought good food and tonight I did too. :) Yay Me!! :D

Hi there. Today is budget day and as expected the Tories didn't fail to disappoint. Meanwhile the NHS bill also passed - so very soon terminaly ill people should really plan their life span very carefully.

Anyway, we just published a comment on the budget - which amongst other things hit people over 65; have a look if you feel like it.

  • Hmmm, so it's official. My job is "at risk" of redundancy. Bah.
