Another one joining Tete and Minni on the 'newbies in search of positivity' bus ~ I know I do it but can't help myself turning everything into an ever so slightly negative slant, it really p*sses me off!

    Looking forward to the ride

Same! I'm at a real crossroads in my life and people say "Why don't you travel, or xxxx or xxxxx" and I always seem to come up with a problem or obstacle with it :wall: What a twit.

And the more I procrastinate and worry about stuff, the less I actually DO. I want to be a doer not a daydreamer :o

(And one of my fave and most inspirational MSEers Lara44 is here too, so it must be good!)

Well the feeling is certainly mutual Tete :D Especially with the way in which you have made the most of the past year, so many amazing challenges!

But it sounds like your work is really getting too much. Did you get a massive pay rise? Sounds like you need a change. I'm doing this course Springboard on the recommendation of Cherisong / Mrs Moo. Sounds as if it would be good for you - any way you can persuade your work to send you (and pay?).

    Huge hugs

    L xx

Think the newbies need to read The Secret (mentioned on Memory Girl's Intro to the new thread). Its about positivity, and its principles teach you how to weed the negativity out, out to lose the toxic people, and such like, its book has an individual message for everyone that reads it.

Powerful stuff. but a good read also x

Exciting to see a new thread MG and matrixers. I'll try harder to keep up with this one.

In celebration of the new thread I think I might treat myself to an egg timer so I can get back into 15 minute blasts of getting stuff done.

    Positive vibes to you all

Just watched "Who wants to be a Millionaire" on i-player, Mmmmmm!!!

Ok so was multi-tasking (ironing) whilst watching. Found myself wanting to scream at the screen "For Goodness Sake - stop taking seminars and got out and do something!!!!!"

Wishing to be rich doesn't make it so - you have to actually take action too - peeps on here who have their financial lives coming under control understand that.

    Stop spending!
Get your basic budget under control
Automate your debt repayments till they are clear
    Build an emergency fund
Buy assets not liabilities - then leverage

There - just saved you £50K

Mind you I shall probably tune into the next episode anyways :rotfl:

Back upstairs to the timber works (building an asset BTW)

    MG
    FINALLY AND OFFICIALLY DEBT FREE
    Small Emergency Fund £500 / £500
    Pay off all Debts £10,000 / £10,000
    Grown Up Emergency Fund £6000 / £6000 :j
    Pension Provision £6688/£2376

Thanks for that Buffy. I did have the e-book and have sent it to a few matrix members in the past, lost it though because of virus and repair .
  • Waves hello to all our newbies :hello:

Love that you have 8% of your mortgage accounted for MG :T

Asks very quietly - please can someone explain leverage :o.

Working hard to exercise patience and not to look too far ahead. As FW says, all our lines are going in the right direction :rotfl:.
