Grrrr in your behalf Greenbee - he should be more careful what he says to you about it, especially in any written form.

Busy being busy working the whole day through, piling lots of stuff up on my desk which I have no intention to do - nearly a song but no real work done. I did have an interesting chat to boss about future and there was a slight small hint of possible moves for me in the next year but it was only very small so will have to wait and see what transpires.

Got to do some stuff tonight after a meeting but got lots of trashy tv to keep me company - Phil Spencer Secret Agent is now my new p*rn!
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000
    Savings for big things £9017
  • has brainache - trying to compare phone/broadband prices....the fact that its utilities next is not inspiring me to keep going !

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Oh i love that too!!! It's good, safe, switch yer brain off TV!

Glad you were able to keep some 'evidence', Greenbee. Tut at your boss for being so unprofessional. Let's hope it can all be resolved without too much fuss.

He's not that bright, and clearly they don't get any training on managing international teams. Obviously he didn't have the initiative to look it up himself (I did send him the NHS links last year). And he probably doesn't consider IM to count... or know that I can save it :)

Anyway, I have emailed a record of the conversation to my personal email account, just in case...

What's really stupid of him is that he hasn't thought it through... me doing MOST of my job is better than me not doing any of it... and this isn't the kind of thing you can get a temp in for, particularly as we're short staffed. And it's forcing people who were avoiding training on some of the stuff I cover to pick it up, so there is a silver lining ...

I guess I'd better make the effort to get ahead on other stuff.

Think I might have had too much coffee ... feel sick and headachy... either that or too much talking :o

Excellent day he shares my birthday, indeed baby Albert was born at same time of day as me.
You can tell him he shares his birthday with Michael Caine and Albert Enstein......not bad company I don't think ;)

Congrats to your friend and welcome baby Albert.

Thanks Bitsy and - Happy Birthday!! :bdaycake:

Greenbee - sorry to hear about the boss stress. I hope it all blows over and your voices recovers soon. You've been loyal to your job so you're right to insist the same in return.

Horace - the interview practice sounds great, well done :D

Hopeful - great news about the house being on the market :j I share your very wise wish

Igamogam - so please for you that the test was normal. You're so right to put your mind at rest. Hope the rest of the test comes back a-okay.

MG - Can't wait to see the new desk! Free-i-y sounds like a plan :)

Happy belated birthday, Bitsy - may the next year of your life be an absolutely awsome one.

I have decided to stop using alarm clocks in the morning at all - I am awake early anyway. And if I wake up, it likely that my body manages to rest and that I have simply started needing less sleep, right?

So sitting at my desk, checking on goings on in the world and getting ready for a day of writing - and if I need a nap during the day, so be it!

    Happy belated birthday Bitsy!!

Well done FW, that is great way to live. That is what I struggle with in the office is that I need to be productive during certain times but it sometimes goes against what my body's needs are.

Ok so four applications sent yesterday and I sent an email to one of the partners in my old firm that I used to work with. I got a call yesterday that two departments hadn't chosen me but the plus was that they didn't need to call me and they took the trouble to do so.

    Happy Birthday Bitsy Love.

DS1 ona day out with the school today = Police Safety Course so I am hoping the "issue" will be kept an eye on by our Boys in Blue LOL

Got a monster list of Free-I-Y to do - but will stick to the desk before I start something else - although I have started doing 15 minutes in the garden each day to get ready for sowing.

Off and at 'em kind of day in progress already LOL
