Hi folks - Just a quick pop in before I give up on computers for the night.....

MG - Did the community PC not come up with the goods? And the bully - what would the parental response likely to be? Is it worth talking to parents?
Anyways - tell DS1 we're all behind him. And I know I mentioned karate before & you said contact sport isn't his thing - seeming karate is a no-touch sport......... just a thought likes.

Anyhow - do you need cheered up (OK, it's a bit scary that this is the result of a poll of British adults)?

    courtesy of "i" newspaper

1 in 5 British adults couldn't tell you how many countries were in the UK
When asked to name England's highest mountain, 58% answered either Mount Everest, Ben Nevis or Snowdon
Almost a quarter thought Ayres Rock was in the UK (I know it's really Uluru but if the poll struggled with Ayres Rock, whet chance did the real name have?) 1 in 20 didn't realise Stonehenge was in the UK (& 10% didn't know the Angel of the North was either)
53% didn't know Balmoral Castle was in Scotland
more than a third thought the Home Counties circled Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow.

and courtesy of my ex-Team Manager while talking about Faberge Eggs being a tad pricey......"What's special about them - do they come from Faberge hens or something?"

Oh Matrixites - please tell me I'm not alone in wanting to laugh & sob at the same time??????

And MG - how is FB doing?

Off to chill for the night but will pop on tomorrow with the Round Tuits - I've been good, honest....

Monday done roll on Tuesday - have been good and done a healthy proper tea using freezer stuff, kids wolfed it down and then started on the European-stuff-that-should-be-in-school- mountain and filled a recycling bag full of pointless paper that I've been holding on to for no good reason. I will get my utility room back before Easter.

Trip out tomorrow so no real work that has to be done tonight so slowly wading through some stuff till I nod off:p

Hi Everyone. I am now full of cold but not feeling carp like i was at the end of last week. The big boy's been off school poorly today and I fear the youngest is brewing something.

After a week of feeling v low and worrying about the situation with ex OH, I gave myself a good talking to last night and made some important decisions re house. After writing out various lists and burning out the calculator function on my 'phone I am back on track :D

The estate agent met me at the house and has taken pics etc. He was v positive about an improvement in the market, which is apparent from the recently sold local properties I found online. The prices have clearly improved since summer last year. So, i have fingers and all crossable bits crossed, am sending positive thoughts to the universe & will be asking my friend to alter my Reiki grid accordingly just to be sure...I need that house sold!!

Greenbee - look after your throat!

MG - I hope your son's school starts being proactive. Are the board of governors aware of recent parental complaints?
One step at a time ;)

Righto - building the facebook page mortgagefreeinthree.com - now I need to find a picture to use as a header that is 399 pixels wide.

LOL - I may be some time

I time, you will have to have a logo - this blog stuff is a lot about branding and a picture does it wonderfully. A good picture this is!

I was cooking lunch - and I think I will try scanning in a Mind Map and see how that works

    MG

MG, you should try to make your Twitter, FB and website images match for maximum branding impact (if you can't get your site done out with the same images, get the first two at least).

    Yaaawwwnnnn - & stretch

Just about to get ready for another day in the Workhouse but thought I'd pop in for a bit of "life outside" before I did.

Hopeful - bleurgh to snuffles for you all & I wish you well with the house sale
Bitsy - good to see you
Dorastar - annoy the doctor as much as you need too - we would miss your singing voice (singing whisper doesn't have the same ring about it)
and hugs to all else who need them

And my Round Tuits of the past few days

Car away for MOT today - luckily DH is off on holiday so he can deal with this, although car is already dropped off & garage returns it when it's fit & well (Alan is wonderful, isn't he MG)
DH is painting living room on his holidays - most of the paint is on the walls (good) with only a small amount on dogs, carpet, wallpaper, roof beams, DH shoes & DH clothes (all not so good)
Chicken run has been dismantled & hut moved until we decide to get more chickens (probably next year now)
    Roses have been pruned
Rose we got as an anniversary pressie has been planted out
1 very small garden bed weeded
Pots at front of house weeded
    DH cut grass
We now have working lights in the Buddhas at the front of the house (DH - thank you)
    Bath re-siliconed

And that's about it - all wee things but things that were on the Round Tuit list.

Now off for shower, dressing & then making lunch for Workhouse

    Have a good day folks.....

I am off to a family court this morning. The other side hasn't filed their position statement and we don't know if he is represented or not. Too early for me to raise the question about them letting me leave the country so there will be at least one more hearing.

Work still utterly mad, the situation is far from sustainable. I am so close of handing in my notice but that would be like pulling the rug from underneath myself. Nothing heard from any of the CV's I have sent. Still hoping...

Deep breaths Marru - just hold on to the picture of us all standing behind yo with our arms crossed glaring at him.

Clootie - Bobbie took a turn out on Monday - so three parents made complaints n Monday morning, two requested policy procedures, visit from the Bobby, letters going in today. It will soon be at the stage where something proactive will have to be done - otherwise Offstead will hammer them as there is a paper trail.

The boy doesn't get picked up by his parents - but Bobby says he is over age of criminal responsibility, so a wee "raise you hands again and I will call the police on you conversation" may soon be in order.

OMG!!! to lack of UK knowledge - even DS1 got those right (although when I asked him about Ayres Rock he immediately corrected it to Uluhru):rotfl:

Although I fancy a Faberge hen or two myself :D

As for the branding - I am on the case today, have been playing around with using a Mind Map as the header but it is not quite right yet. One day I am sure someone will come up with a perfect brand - but I am still at the Make Do and Mend stage.

Yay!!! to OH doing th tuits Clootie - my car is due for its MOT soon and I really can't see it passing so I am thinking we may be carless for a few years - would rather not but can't be helped. I will party if it squeaks through though.

Off to feed some children - can't see why, I fed them last night:D
