When everything gets onto an even keel and Mr is earning well again, your frugal ways will pay dividends in spades. It's a gentle process.

It has been suggested by a lady here that I set up a Facebook page for MFinthree - can someone simply (as it is so early) give me some of the benefits of doing this and also suggest the best things to include?

Must just go as I've got to pop a tray of jam tarts into the oven for playgroup storytime. Mmmmm

Hmmmmm, benefits ok. Your page can be shared, with friends, friends of friends, and it will reach a much wider audience than if you just leave it in with readership from here etc.

An example my sons business page reached over 6000 people within 7 days, he gained 25 straight customers just from sharing with friends.

Facebook also has pages for our local area MG exactly like Fr**gle & Fre***cle where people are interested in being Frugal etc.

But purely based on the fact that you can increase your readership, thats a major benefit on its own. I'm sure someone will be along who can tell you more benefits of digital media coverage.:)

Your recipes, stores cupboard stuff, charity shop bargains, your patchwork sofa's and intentions for a patchwork lifestyle and income stream, its all so readable and marketable. People will just devour this stuff IMHO x

MG facebook has turned into the biggest digital media market place ever. Twitter is great, but the days of Facebook just being a chat facility are long gone.
You can set your streams in there, and it means that within days your stuff is being read from all over the world.
You can go global, anywhere you want. The sky is the limit (well apart from the Moon).

Plus there are facilities to subscribe, you can block, choose who sees your stuff.
Go for Gold, you've nothing to lose, and a HUGE readership to gain ;)

Must admit that I only use FB as downtime for me - used for playing games and chatting with some business chums in a secret closed group.

Yesterday I turned the leftover stock from my chicken casserole into soup - it was rather yummy. Yesterday I saw the health trainer who pointed out that I had let things slide with regards to food i.e. not eating breakfast and eating chocolate and sweets:( As a consequence I lost 1lb instead of the 5lb that I was expecting. Podgy now weighs 11st 11lbs:(

Took a break from the computer this morning and nipped to the huge Y*CA charity shop that has opened in Bromsgrove as Mum had told me about an item of furniture that might look good in my house. In fact I saw quite a few nice items of furniture but felt that their pricing was way out. If the furniture was brand new then I could easily understand them charging silly prices but this furniture is second hand and some of it is tatty. Why should I pay £79 for a wooden bookcase that needs sanding and revarnishing? My current bookcase (also secondhand) cost me £20 and it didnt need any restoration work. I think I will stick with the Heart Foundation Shop as their secondhand furniture is a more reasonable price. My 1920's cantilever table cost £20 and needed a bit of tlc (sanding, varnishing with a dark stain varnish), my 1920's Mahogany chest of drawers was also £20. Heck, I could buy a new to me but secondhand, refurbished tv for £35 from the Heart Foundation Shop. I felt that the Y*CA shop was taking the mick with their prices.

Delete them Lara - if any of them had been important they would have got hold of you another way by now.

Kids are off to Grandmas tonight for a sleepover - so about to put my thinking cap for an evening project to knock out when I have the peace and quiet. Something I can get my teeth into.

But first - shopping list (Meh!!!) and a lad of washing on at lunchtime to take advantage of the lovely weather (and wind)
