Still cannot get to the Matrix - keep getting the message Hello Matrix - not instigated (or words to that effect), this has only happened since I switched from IE to Firefox:( It is frustrating as I want to discuss something on the Matrix that I won't discuss here.

Mrs Hicks - I am sending some healing vibes your way too. There are some horrid bugs about this year (fingers crossed I don't get any).

In other news, I answered a tweet from a journalist who is looking for women who save hundreds of pounds by using vouchers and other moneysaving ways to save money. I have responded and sent her an email as she is looking for such enterprising ladies for various women's mags:cool: I rarely pay full price for anything anyway so I thought I would send some information in the hope that I will be able to feature and get paid too:cool:

Off to prepare some fridge forage soup - I have 3 manky tomatoes (I will cut the manky bits off), a leek and some other bits and I can finish it off tomorrow. Need to go shopping tomorrow as I need cheese, filtered milk, a couple of tins of spam for my store cupboard and other foodie items (have LVs and Tesco clubcard vouchers to spend).

Jobs for tomorrow - apply for jobs, continue with tidying/cleaning efforts, wash the bottom sheet and hang to dry in living room (I have to do the washing in dribs and drabs because I do not have the space to hang everything and I am too tight to go to the launderette to use their dryers).

    Back to tidying....

Sending positive vibes for godson and friend.

Have spent half of day standing on head in ensuite as loo is blocked (aargh!) Have done everything I can possibly think of, hot water, plunger, pipesnake and caustic soda and it is draining extremely slowly but not enough to be used so going to give it another go later then admit defeat if it isn't clear by littlies bedtime. Think it is stuffed with paper as princess dd does like using wads of the stuff. Not a wasted day though cos decided to degunk shower and wastepipe from it while pipesnake was out :oand:eek:at how much yuck was down there!

So a bit grrrr at unexpected expense, but dd had asked santa for a bike and is too tall for 24 inch 'children's bikes' but too short for an adult bike so santa has agreed to hold off till summer hols = £100ish saved there and a friend has a bike that could suit dd and only wants about £50 for it (so Santa might not even have to cough up that much later in the year:p)
Also saved cos can't go on works do (same night as Russell Howard) so just going for a lemonade with people before heading off. And finally hot pot for tea leftover from church do last night - should make about 4 meals for the four of us the amount we brought home!
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000
    Savings for big things £9017

Just home from project "Mums Kitchen" - it is all done now bar one bit around the integrated washing machine ............. but I don't have the right tool so someone will have to do it through the week.

Candles are lit here in the window for all peeps and baby peeps that need them - sending good wishes to all.

Robsmum - you are a STAR!!!! Fabulous list - just goes to show you how far baby steps can carry you.

Off to feed the boys - bless the slow cooker LOL

    Later ladies

    Hello all,

a favour to ask please - not posted for a while but been reading, things not great workwise so felt like I haven't had much to say.

However, my godson is in hospital - gone in with a chest infection and whilst there picked up a serious hospital bug . The next 24 - 48 hours are crucial and they have no further meds to zap it with should this one not work.

Any healing thoughts and vibes in his direction would be much appreciated - thank you x

Thank you so much for your thoughts and good wishes. Sadly he lost the fight this afternoon. Am very sad. RIP my lovely boy xxx

If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
