robsmum - well done on your list, very inspiring. I feel a list of my own coming on
Groatie - very jealous you have snow, even if it's only a dusting

I'm doing 15 minute bursts today inbetween watching some TV and having some me time. I've divided my bursts into rooms: Kitchen - 2, Bedroom - 2, Bathroom - 1 (fairly tidy), Washing - 3 (dry, wash, wash) and 2nd bedroom - 1 (OH's turf to sort!). Over two hours housework painlessly done. Wish me luck!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

how long do they take before they refund you? complain to the CEO that you cannot live like this and if they keep mischarging you, you will go to virgin media!
Is this by Direct Debit ? If so get onto your bank and quote the DD guarantee - say the charge is in dispute and you want the DD reversing.
"The direct debit guarantee applies to all banks and building societies taking part in the direct debit scheme. It says that:- if there is a change in the amount to be paid or the payment date, the person receiving the payment (the originator) must notify the customer in advance.
- if the originator or the bank/building society makes an error, the customer is guaranteed a full and immediate refund of the amount paid.
- customers can cancel a direct debit at any time by writing to their bank or building society."

(He's getting a work shirt for Christmas, I chose my candleabra for my present from him yesterday)
I'm loving all these Christmas plans. I've booked my supermarket delivery for the 22nd too, and my bird is ordered. Chestnuts and crackers already in the cupboard. DD is cooking on Christmas Day :j We've been invited for "drinks" that morning. What we DO need to do is negotiate who drinks and who drives for each of our social occasions over the period. :rotfl:0 -
Hello all,
a favour to ask please - not posted for a while but been reading, things not great workwise so felt like I haven't had much to say.
However, my godson is in hospital - gone in with a chest infection and whilst there picked up a serious hospital bug . The next 24 - 48 hours are crucial and they have no further meds to zap it with should this one not work.
Any healing thoughts and vibes in his direction would be much appreciated - thank you x0 -
Vibes on their way, teapot xoxIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Well done Robsmum, that's amazing progress!
Having bought The Takeaway Secret recently, I have now made a couple of fantastic curries, which are better than most of the takeaways we've used. I've got a big batch of the base sauce to put in the freezer now, which means our takeaway urges should be curtailed a bit.
That Takeaway Secret book is fab - I have only ventured with the curries so far but was very impressed - and we are not takeaway fans. I sent my student DD1 back to university last weekend with a set of herbs and spices and 3 portions of the frozen basic sauce and photocopied the curry recipe - been a hit in her house - she is the only female with 4 boys who are curry mad - should save them a fortune in takeaways!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Hello ladies, I found the new thread yesterday and have now caught up!
Robsmum - A huge well done on everything you have achieved in six months, that is fabulous and really inspiring!
Buffy - Thank you very much for sending over the 'frog' book, I will get started on it this afternoon. I already have the secret book, sent a while ago by another kind person on the previous thread, but I haven't been feeling in the right mindset to start that one yet.
Kittikins - Congratulations on your new house.
I am awaiting my assignment results, hopefully in the next couple of days. I am going on a Job Centre course tomorrow - CV and interview techniques. I am catching the train there, but I can get a lift back with my sister as she works in the city centre.
I need to stock up on lightbulbs, matches, candles and batteries, have added that to my list, thanks for the reminder MG! I have ordered the cellophane and ribbons needed for the hampers I am doing, I will make a start on getting the bits to put in them this week.0
