Big meal sorted - BF has volunteered to do it. I will buy some Finnish xmas food from the lovely ladies in the Finnish school as I definitely don't have time to do it myself (we have traditionally British xmas meal on xmas day and Finnish one on boxing day)
BF has gone to take DD to a birthday party so I have house for myself. Better get on with the studying."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Groatie I hope you're feeling better soon.
Still not managed to leave the house for our "morning" trip to town. I have at least managed to revise the destination from Big City Expensive Parking, to small market town with cheap parking.
Trago Mills eh? I've spent many an hour traipsing round there with my parents! We used to go to the Liskeard one quite regularly.SPC - Number 14250 -
You can get food at Trago Mills now?! I remember when it first opened in the sixties in a collection of sheds (Nissen huts?). Mike Robertson’s weekly ads in the local paper were a hoot – though he was somewhat to the right of Attila the Hun! (I gather that his son has followed in his footsteps.) He had on-going battles with “Authority” which he used to chronicle in his ads. I nearly applied for a summer job there once, until I found out that he’d decided that everyone working there was self-employed so he didn’t have to bother with annoying things like Tax, NI and the (then new, now long-forgotten) Selective Employment Tax. One of his better “wheezes” was the Shopper’s Club, which got around the Sunday Trading rules! Stuff was dirt cheap, though, and my mother & I spent many happy hours there. I haven’t been back for years but have just Googled & can’t get over the changes!
Claire, I see they’re planning a branch in Merthyr!
TMIF/Chev, don’t tell me there’s a Devon Matrix M*fia to rival the Fife one!

I enjoyed the Trago history lessonI bet my mum remembers it like that! I'd ask, but she won't be able to reply. Poor mother.
Trago is now a beast. They sell pretty much everything you can imagine now, probably with not as much discount as you remember. There is still a good selection of tat, but there are probably some relative bargains too. I get lots of my craft stuff there... but it has to be on the way to somewhere because it's 30 miles from me.
40 miles from NTA eh... I've been looking on my map... why haven't we met up?
As for the Matrix !!!!!, as far as I know, I am the only one who lives in Devonia, although Gemzie is in Cornwall I think. Claire's here on holiday this weekend
Hope your kidneys mend soon GQ - I had a kidney infection in July - just awful. AwfulBut the tablets work fast, as soon as the Docs give you the right ones
Have a nice weekend all, and avoid my sneezing if you can

Naughty Sky - can you make them give you your money back? x0 -
TMIF,
Afraid I'm 40 years from NA, not 40 miles! (About 200 miles as the crow flies.) As they say, you can take the maid out of Devon but you can't take Devon out of the maid!0 -
Thanks for your kind thoughts everyone.
Commiserations for the sneezing TMIF!
I know I'll be fine once the abx kick in, will go back to bed in a while, have put the electric blanket on which has pleased the cat no end.
Normal service will be resumed shortly....If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
