I have other screwdrivers and various grades of sandpaper.
I am spending valentines on my own too Greenbee - I shall watch the goggle box methinks.
Tomorrow I am off for a meeting with the council because they have a section that helps people with mental illness into work - now if I can have help from them then fab. Must admit that I still get a bit panicky about stuff even now despite starting to get better. I have another group helping me out too as they help people with visual impairments - the jobcentre cannot say that I am not trying:D
I feel lazy tonight so I may just nuke some pasta with tomato & mozarella that I have in the freezer. No cough for me yet although I feel chilled:(0 -

Mum pointed out that there was carpet in the toilet - she and I both hate that, however, she did say that I didnt have a man in the house to dribble everywhere:eek::rotfl: That can be changed on an as and when basis - when I can afford it.
Had to re-read this Horace as I thought you were going to get a dribbly man when you could afford it - was going to offer you one free of charge:rotfl:

Dora - I just re-read what I said too...No thanks I don't want a dribbly man:eek: I am right off men at the moment.
No news on the house and mum isnt going to ring the agent either (the agent likes to play this silly game - not tell the vendor there is an offer on the table, possible purchaser rings and agent says offer not suitable, purchase makes other offer and so it goes on). Many moons ago, I pulled out of a house sale after the same agents did the same to me on a house that needed a new roof and they tried to get me to pay the full asking price and I refused. Mum has suggested some other houses to me but on looking them up on the internet there is no way that I shall live in any of them because of where they are - the areas are dumps with lots and lots of police activity. One in particular although it looks nice you have to drive through 'Gotham City' to get there and it is the sort of place you dread breaking down.
Happy Birthday Dusty Kitten

Off to bed as evening has returned my snotty nose and headache to me. Tomorrow I will either have to locate more drugs or restock as I think I'm down to a couple of actifed, two aspirin, four paracetamol and one ibuprofen. Not a cocktail to try in one go, but that lot won't deal with sinus pain and a cough for long...
OH is being snotty and coughing at hisand is having a bath and an early night.
I've been spending my bonus in my head on jewellery. In reality it will go into an ISA and I can now go ahead and get the floors finished, decorating done and squander a silly amount of money on the perfect curtains for the kitchen without feeling guilty.
Horace - when you move in, remove the carpet from the loo straight away. I had to remove carpet and a wooden loo seat to deal with the persistent odours...0 -
Thanks Ladies, I am going to take the rest of the week off(ish) and just chill out. I think you are right about "hitting a wall" that's just how I feel. Had a nice evening dinner with OH who is listening and being supportive after a bit of a row last night!
Horace - good luck with the house, thinking of you.
Greenbee - hope you stay well.
DK - Happy birthday!!!
Claire - what a shop
