Horace - don't fret, even if it does go missing it is easy enough to get a copy. I lost my first wedding certificate, and then some years later the decree absolute. You can get copies of those as well'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Work is finished. It was hard work talking without coughing, and my throat is suffering.
Before I collapse into bed I need to do some tidying up. The house is covered in sawdust again, but the new floor and skirting boards look lovely0 -
Hex I am fretting because I don't think I put enough postage on the envelope and it contains two copies of the petition, the fee remission form, my proof of benefits letter plus my marriage certificate. I may ring them later in the week to see if they have received it. Dunno what I was thinking when I posted it to be honest..the cold got to me I guess.0

It's probably worth ringing them to check Horace, if only to put your mind at rest.
I HATE tidying
But am making progress. Utility room is pretty much OK, kitchen is partly done, sitting room is also partly done. Hall is fine. Spare room and bathroom are fine. Bedroom is a bombsite and study is somewhat overcrowded... but my plan for the latter is to get the spare room cleaned, then move the stuff from the study back in there so that there is space to clean it.
First thing to do tomorrow though will be to open ALL the windows to get rid of the smell of wood filler...0 -
Hi all! Can I pick the brains of those that have the energy to think, please?!!
I am not allowed to run / register a business from the property I live in. The family friend who will be my accountant said I can register with him. The trouble is he lives too far away for it to be convenient to collect post / parcels. There's no point in a PO Box 'cause that would have to be local to him. Is my only option to hire a physical box from a private company? Are these reliable does anyone know?
Any words of wisdom will be appreciatedOne step at a time0 -

Yes, I do! They are one of the companies I'd put on my list after much searching on t'internet. It's just helpful to have a recommendation. Thank you for your help (again!)One step at a time0 -
Happy Valentine Day to all of you with OH's, Kids or pets - everyone gets an extra cuddle today.:D
Did you guys get the Panorama on poverty in the USA last night - I think it might be one of those programmes that we get at a different time from Englandshire?
:eek: The hardest 30 minute viewing I have had this year - DS1 was watching it with me and we both agree that we have so much to be grateful for living here in Scotland.
I may earn little - but I can see a Doctor, visit a hospital, I have dental care (students but it is care) we have roads, street-lights, a police and fire service, free schools and libraries.
We may be skint - but we are by no means poor.
I'm not very political - but it broke my heart to see once hard-working families reduced to living in tent cities and storm drains.
SO I am walking out today feeling very rich and very blessed.

Ditto MG, my heart went out to those poor people, especially the children.0
