Well done Dora - now surround yourself with the Matrix Bubble of Positivity for the rest of the visit - I'm sending you positive vibes from my duvet .................
Yes Day 2 of Tissue Terror here at MG Manor - at least it is just colds and not the horrible flu thing - know this because although we are all feeling poorly no-one actually wants to die just yet.
Back to normal tomorrow I hope.
The Haggis, neeps and tatties are done for playgroup - Yuck to cooking at 7am, but my duty is done for the next wee while.
So today will be some gentle pottering (no shred today I'm afraid) and figuring out how to put MindMaps onto the blog so that people can actually read them :rotfl:.
Have a lovely day ladies

Well done Dora, that's fantastic!!
Good luck with your scan Imagmogam, I hope it's nothing to worry about. You really have been through it on the medical side this month ((((hugs))))
Well boring day for me, another deadline to meet for the big giant deadline on Monday. It's going ok but I have still got a bit of CBA-itis. Hoping a few days off(ish) next week will set me right again.
MG - hugs to you and the boys, hope the sniffles don't last long!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Well done Dora. Good luck Igamogam and Lara... and get well soon to MG & co...
Went for my blood test, only to be told (after the 9am appointment was 10 minutes late) that I couldn't have it as the doctor had put a reminder on for 6 months not 3. I pointed out that a. that wasn't what I'd been told, b. I would be back in hospital in May and they would want the test done before then and c. work travel starts next month so I probably won't be able to get the test done between now and May. But apparently that's not good enough. Then she said it said '6 months or earlier if feeling unwell'. I should have said I felt unwell:cool:
Went for a coffee and a gossip to calm down forgetting I didn't have any money with me, so now have to go back for lunch
(they know where I live anyway...)
While waiting for my work laptop to boot up I have managed to do three lots of shredding and stuff a load of empty loo roll inners with shredded paper for the fire.
Finished some work last night, so CBA to do any this morning even though I have another deadline looming ... I think I'll try to get some tidying and housework done, as it has been somewhat neglected, and have a look at my frog list (I made one of the phone calls on my way to the surgery this morning, so I am making progress).
I'm going to have to nag OH about putting the shelves up and finishing the wardrobe, as that will mean I can put more stuff away.
Goal for the end of this week is to have the spare room flooring work booked in for Feb, and the decorator booked to come and quote...0 -
Well back from hospital by 9.40 - all very quick. Will ring consultants booking clerk later today to make appt for result. Have rest of day off work and as my energy levels are still low following flu thing I plan to chill with a bit of housework on the side and maybe tackle a frogBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Good afternoon peeps.
I am back from second viewing of house - had to tip toe across muddy flowerbed to get in because there is a huge hole in the path as a new gas pipe is being fitted seems the neighbours smelt gas. I hadn't noticed that the front lintel doesnt appear to be in place (although agent swears there is one) as the wall seems to have dropped slightly - how old this is I have no idea. I also drove to have a look at the other house for sale in that street but it is at the rough end and looking at the state of it, it needs to be demolished it is that scruffy. I do have a house viewing tomorrow but the house is bigger and there is off road parking (own driveway) but it has a shower room and I hate standing in showers due to having balance problem.
The estate agent told me that the house I do like is being viewed on Saturday by someone who is keen. My parents have yet to view it.
In other news I went to R*ndstad this morning - I have to rejig my CV even more and they are working on my behalf to get a job..I am eminently employable so stuff all those agencies who said that I was unemployable! Could be that I could be working in a new hotel in Bham as their conference manager (this is the job I am aiming for).
Naughty me went to cafe in town today and came away with a slice of homemade carrot cake (my favourite as it is soo lush). I also nipped into a new shop that sells Rolex watches and asked what they would pay me for mine - £1400 - stuff that, it cost more than that and is worth double that:mad: The chap was quite rude about it because I have one with a black face and pink numbers not only that it doesnt have date adjust and people want to be able to see the date - now I don't like date adjust because I don't like squinting at the date on my watch due to my eyesight. I then popped into another shop - a very fancy dress shop that has been in the arcade for years and years. This shop is where I got my wedding dress from (it has been worn several times since - oh I made sure I got a dress that I could get more than one wear out of:rotfl:). The shop is closing down and will be reopening in Staffordshire (guess the rents are cheaper) - I had a look at the £25 rail and ended up trying on two pairs of black trousers which thankfully didnt fit (too narrow in the thigh) - I noticed that one pair still had the original price tag on it of £195:eek: they were still being sold for £25 jolly nice they were too but alas Horace is too fat:(0 -

Got the leftovers from Playgroup home with me - so grabbed some gratin dishes and layered up haggis, neeps and tatties with a knob of butter on top and baked until they were singing.
DS1 LOVES them - which is great cos there are another two in the freezer fro later in the month.
Also received my A Food order today -using the last of the budgeted Xmas funds - so we have 30 packs of wraps, poppadoms, seed and nut stuff for boys and 12 tins of crab meat (which I love but are out of my budget usually). So crab chowder, thai crab-cakes, crab linguine, chilli crab noodles, crab salad ............ all in my gastronomic future. 12 tins for a fiver BTW!!!
Now both boys are fed, watered and bathed - early bed and everyone back to school / work tomorrow
