Morning ladies - so we have had our first week of the new Year - where will you be by Christmas Eve this year?

I have committed to paying 15% or £18000 off my mortgage this year - don't know exactly how but I am open to any coincidences / challenges / inspiration.

I am also going to have dinner with Gabriel Byrne - again no idea how, but I think his story is so inspirational that I just have to interview him.

So a cleaning day of putting the Christmas stuff into the attic again - what are you lot up to?

    I'm going to Malta - yay :)

    http://!!!!!!!.com/7ztmp8b

Hmm quite a big link made much shorter thanks to tiny url :)

    Excited :-D

(The !!!! are tiny url (no spaces) pesky filter!)

We love Malta! Some piccies here from 2009 - February.

    Another one turning green, here.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
  • Today the office gets it. I'm taking no prisoners - what doesn't get filed, gets shredded. But first of all I'll cull each section of the filing system for any bills/statements dated more than 7 years ago. I am absolutely determined :D. Tomorrow is bin/recycling day, so I intend to capitalise on it.

Looking forward to the tada :j

It has been mad week at work. Went to see my acupuncturist yesterday and she was worried about how little energy I had. I don't know what she did but I completely crashed after I got back home. Feeling more like myself today but still very tired.

Anyway only two things on my todo list for today: shorten DD's school trousers and get 3.5 mm sock needles. I am heading back to Switzerland tomorrow so hoping to get some knitting time in the hotel.

By the xmas eve this year I would like to have completed my operation MOOD (Magnificent Obsession Of Decluttering).

Morning all, not allowed to say why I had a horrible day here, it will become apparent eventually, but nothing that can be done in retrospect. Just made me think and question.

Today I will be finishing my UCAS form and racking up about £240 in debt. My rationale: we need a hoover, my allergies are unbearable at the moment and it's 0% for six months so we will hopefully have some wedding present money to pay it off by July, it's more important than a honeymoon in practical terms.

Morning All - I am getting ready to take my daughter to Stanmore in Middlesex. She is going into hospital for three weeks (coming home each weekend). She has to be there at 8.30am tomorrow, so we are going up today and staying in a nearby hotel (Travelodge £12.00 yay!)

She is naturally very aprehensive but I am hoping that things will fall into place within a couple of days. It is really the unknown, which can be scary to anyone.

It is a pain management programme, where they help her to learn how to manage her pain on a daily basis and to pace herself, so please, please send positive vibes that it helps her as her pain levels have been unreal recently and I have felt so helpless as there is nothing I can do to help her, which as a parent is just heart breaking.
