Your mother has been complicit in this by getting the cards for you in her name to begin with, surely this is fraudulent.
Does your mother have an income? Does she have savings?
I'm wondering whether you could write, in your mother's name, to each of the credit card companies, giving them permission to speak to you, and getting your mother to sign them, you could then speak to the companies, explain that your mother is elderly and without sufficient income to service the payments properly, but that you are trying to clear them for her. I appreciate that it will take some input from her to get this set up, but as I said before, she has been complicit in this in the first place, I love my children dearly but would never ever put them, or me, in this position.Light Bulb Moment: October 2011

Fraud would be to apply for a card using someone elses signature - getting a card and letting someone else use it is just... well silly in my view. The debt legally will always be yours, unless they can prove a written intent to repay and want to pursue it through court and a CCJ...
Contacting the CC companies "in the mothers name" unless with the agreement and genuine signature of the mother WOULD be fraud... OP definitely do NOT do this.DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

After the advice I received last night about getting in contact with CAP I have phoned them and they do not have a support worker that covers my area so they can not offer me any help. They suggested I call citizens advice, I feel like I am going round in circles and its so frustrating as I do want to solve this mess maybe its time to stop thinking about others but do what is right for me! You see my way of thinking is I hurt people no matter what I do so is this worth all the agony...............0

PLEASE singlef, do take note of all that MrsTine and headachesrus have said, it's nothing more than being truthful as well as blunt and to the point.
Someone has to stand up for YOU and right now it's yourself and your Mother that can do that best. I could never leave my youngsters in this sort of mess, but then I wouldn't allow them to get there in the first place!
It may already have been said, but is your Aunt your Mother's or your dad's Sister??
Please help yourself out of this!

Absolutely right, singlef!! You may appear to hurt others temporarily while you sort yourself out, but if they've an ounce of compassion in them at all, they'll understand - if not, well what more can be said!!

Like I have said I have tried everything, she will not agree to anything. When the cards were cut up I returned them too her and she was quite angry that my friend had cut them up and had made me face up to the facts, i do believe she enjoys watching me suffer. Before I had my Aunt I was doing ok in and she hated it. Like I said in another post she is a bitter woman!0 -
