Have to say I've not had any problems with my Citi account at all. Ordered a paying in book from them, and this came within a couple of days. All my DDs have shown up, and yesterday at 8:30 I stopped to get some petrol - paid by my card, and it showed up on the account details when I checked a couple of hours later.

    Lovely.
Chuffed to be member 11 on the DMP mutual support thread.

Unanimously voted 'Quotation King' by members of the club. Woo-Hoo:D

Lost my 2 star virginity to smilealot and teecee. And no other two could have been better!

As far as I understand the amount has to be in one lump sum

    I tend to agree.

I applied for an overdraft and got it, but I have my salary going in every month and has been for the past 3 months.
  • I wrote CS a secure message last week asking for an explanation of why this happened, but no reply as yet ... could be that the citibank honeymoon period is over for me!

I have also written a secure message but got no reply, disappointing as I have been fairly impressed by their customer service so far....maybe not for much longer.

I have though, agreed to transfer money to my Mum's Lloyds account and she will put it into my Natwest Student account, so I don't get caught short in the USA.

I even asked Citibank if I should put the money in my US dollar account, but no reply.

99.9999999999999999999% pleased with my Citibank account , however only 1 problem - I cannot use the Citi Visa card to pay my O2 bill , both the Visa and my Citi Credit Card Visa decline :(

Will be speaking with Tbanking tomorrow to discuss what their system says regarding the decline - and its certanly not due to lack of funding.

They do accept discharged bankrupts, and are possibly the only bank to issue a visa debit card to them.

My husband and I are discharged bankrupts (were discharged in 2002) and we have a flex account with Nationwide, with Visa Debit card, cheque book, guarentee card and a standard £750 overdraft. at the time of application they offered us a Visa CC too with a limit in excess of £2000 snd 0% for 9 months.

When they asked if we had ever been bankrupt and I had to say YES i thought they wouldn't even give us an account. what a nice supprise

Trying to get a credit history is the hardest thing after bankruptcy and I was almost ready to give up forever.

I did try very hard, this afternoon, unfortunately I was directed to the secure messaging system as they have to have the request to use your card abroad in writing!

The lady struggled to understand my query, she passed me onto another colleague, who, a good as they were, couldn't understand what I wanted from them!

Think I will try again with a secure message tonight.
