Nothing that major then, People have got the account with worse credit files. I would assume that they have enough new customers this quarter.
I think that Citi bank accepted so many customers then just declined the rest. I think this is totally unfair but I just think thats the way it was.
good luck with your appeal and keep us updatedIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

Citibank turned me down
if I cant get an account with them then I guess I cant get an account anywhere!!!! What did I do so wrong???
Citibank turned me down, but today the Cooperative bank have confirmed they are opening an account (applied over the phone 2 weeks ago) :j My credit rating is poo but they are the only bank that accepted us.
After they told me that I was getting an account, I told them I had been declared BR on Fri. She went of and checked, and confirmed that that was fine and I will have an account number on Thurs!! And an Electron card! Yippee. She said the only time they ever don't open an account is when there is a wiff of fraud.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -

i've just returned from the maldives on holiday, tried to use my citibank debit card a couple of times, refused with the message 'do not honour' from the machine ... very very frustrating as there is more than enough money in the account! I told citi I would be travelling, they told me not to worry, everything would be fine!1st letters received on 16.02.07 for HSBC, Goldfish, Tesco, RBoS & Lloyds TSB0

I am sure a quick call to the telephone banking and they will sort it out
It sounds like the system has noticed abnormal account activity

did you tell them that you were now back in the country,
this could be the reason
if you told them you were going to be out of the country,
phone them it's a free call.

I tried to use the card abroad, the 'do not honour' message was from the machine that was in the hotel. I informed citibank that I would be away, to make sure I would not have any issues or embarressment, what a waste of time that was! The card has been fine since I have returned on monday.1st letters received on 16.02.07 for HSBC, Goldfish, Tesco, RBoS & Lloyds TSB0
