I have the Sterling Current Account which I opened at the end of Jan/start of Feb. I don't want to pay the extra £10 a month for the add on extras. Is the £10 a month thing due to start on April 1st? Should I be phoning Citibank up now to downgrade account? I don't want to loose my 2in1 Visa Debit card though.
Hi you can use a link to switch or just phone them, there is a link on this thread that I posted and you don't loose your card, you keep it,

Llloyds, Natwest, Halifax and Citibank, I just want a basic bank account but apparently my credit score is too low!

Sorry to hear that - I was told the same by Nationwide in the past (It's ridiculous really that you need a credit score for an account with absolutely no credit  )

Have you tried the Co-op Cashminder account. That's a basic account but comes with an Electron Card. Also, other posters have raved about Yorkshire Bank and their ReadyCash account which comes with a Maestro card ..
