Both the citi plus and access accounts are current accounts the difference is that the plus account give some more benefits but charge a fee of £10/month and the access account dont give those extra benefits but dont charge a fee either.
So its upto each individual, i.e. if you want those extra benefits then keep the plus account (sterling current account at the moment but will be changed to the plus account on 1st April) and if you dont want those extra benefits its best to shift to the access account so that you dont have to pay the monthly fee of £10.<<If you liked what I said then feel free to click on the thanks button>>0 -
I applied for this account early January, sent council tax bill, bank statement and copy of driving licence with a covering letter. After keeping up to date on both threads i really didnt think i would get the account as it seems as though it is getting more and more difficult.
Pins arrived yesterday followed by my card today, its a 2 in 1 card but im really really pleased :-)
Took 3/4 weeks from start to finish and my credit rating isnt great with a couple of ccj's and defaults
Im sorry if you didnt get this account but i wanted to say thanks to ComputerWoman for all the time, effort and patience she has put into both threads - and of course anyone else! I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
Hi all congrats to the latest recruits, and I think it would be best to just not post anymore on the other not so nice citi thread, as I reported it last night but whether anything gets done about it is another matter the guy should be chucked off the forum, he's been having ago at all of us, but the best policy is to just ingore him totally and he might just go away, or at least that thread will go down the ranks and possibly dissappear so please members dont post on that thread anymore, stop and think about it before you post anything, as it could just back fire on us lot instead of him.
best wishes everyone CW
Pls be nice to all MSer's
There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

My card arrived today! A proper VISA debit card! So pleased that I have a VISA card again after 18 months of Electron and Solo
It's only a 2in1 card, does this mean I won't get a cheque book? As I have found my A&L cheque book handy for paying people.

I have read this a few times (on the old thread i think) and was useful for me as i lost my nerve on the phone to ask for a cheque book just incase they asked me if i was joking and if a debit card wasnt enough for me especially with my rating lol
You can order one from online banking, under customer services
I only read fully up to page 22 and scanned most of it afterwards so i didnt really notice any bad feelings over there. I have become addicted to this site recently and like the fact that all the posters are really friendly and helpful to all.
You guys have helped 100's of people get a account as well as making them excited and happy. I say keep up the good work!! I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

Hey that's happened to me but with Nationwide, I got my mortgage with them 7 years ago and they phoned me asking if I wanted a loan from them for home improvements which I accepted but they wouldn't let me have a current account.0
