khurammm wrote:CW can you plz tell me some other way than paying in the salary into the account, e.g if I want to deposit money into my account 2-3 times in a week then what is the best and fastest way.
Also tell me if that I shift to the access account will I still get the monthly statement as most basic bank accounts issue statement quaterly only.
paying in money to citibank,
via Lloyds TSB using your paying-in book,
or at any citibank branch using there multi-function cash machines,
or by post,
or you can send them a cheque via deposit at LTSB or post
or multi-function machines at there branches.
or you can transfer money,
using BACS/ CHAPS/ SWIFT/ OR CITIBANK GLOBAL TRANSFERS,/ BACS/takes 3-4 days.
CHAPS/ same day but a charge for this.
SWIFT/ telegraphic transfer if you want to send payments abroad/there is a charge for this.
CITIBANK GLOBAL TRANSFERS / for instant funds transfer to other citi accounts theres no charge when you transfer to accounts of the same currency,
although a commission will be applied when changing currencies
you can use there multi-function cash machines,
or citibank online
to transfer to a citi account aboard or in the UK.
hope this helps
citibank phone number is
0800 00 55 00

also
getting your wages/benefits put in to your account
ring the DWP and give then your sort code and bank account number
they might need the banks address, which is in this thread,
give your boss your new bank details and let him sort it out with the wages clerk,
or fill in the bank mandate that you get with your welcome pack,
and let citi do the leg work for you,
hope this helps CW

Hi talking to citibank today I have decided to accept the £10 charge, they is no difference with the cards when you switch accounts only the CGC, and if you decide you want to switch to the basic account then they do a card protection plan which you can ring on 0845 121 3912 between 9am-8pm hope this helps anyone. khurammm wrote:Hi CW you get interest on the money which you have deposited in your current account and you have to pay interest on any overdraft you have utilised. The rates are usually stated in per anum terms.

About Citibank i.e what they say:
New Citibank Plus/Access Current Account:
"Simple isn’t a word you’d usually associate with a bank account. But that’s exactly what makes the Citibank Plus/Access Current Account different.
It’s easy to manage and offers a competitive interest rate, with no catches and no strings attached. All of which makes it easy to earn money too. Simple.
Easy to manage:
Dealing with your bank shouldn’t be difficult, but it often is. Whenever possible, we’ll take the hassle out of managing your money, whether that’s by transferring your standing orders for you or just by offering an efficient, personal service.
Simply the best:
Not only do we offer one of the best current account interest rates in the market, but our rate is better than many savings accounts too.
Just an everyday thing:
You earn the same great rate on any balance you have in your account, whether it’s £1 or £100,000. As interest is calculated daily, you can be sure that you’re earning something every day.
Your terms and conditions, not ours:
You manage the account on your terms, not ours. We’re not looking for any commitment from you upfront - there’s no minimum deposit required and you don’t need to give us your salary every month.
Your choice:
You can use our Citibank Online service to access your account. Or, if you’d prefer, you can speak to one of our personal bankers, who are available 24 hours a day and have got the authority to get things done for you.
You’ll also receive a VISA debit card, enabling you to make purchases and to withdraw money from over 44,000 LINK cash machines in the UK and over 840,000 VISA and LINK ATMs worldwide".<<If you liked what I said then feel free to click on the thanks button>>0
