  • to be totally honest, I only wanted a debit card, so I could shop online, but with all this hype about chip n pin nightmare getting your cards used by other un-savory characters has got me thinking about "what if this did happen to me" who would I go to, to get it sorted, am I covered, well under my house ins I am "sort of" so do I go with the £10 charge for peace of mind, or not, is it worth £120 a year, can I just add it on to my mastercard protection, if if if, what do I do, confused is an understatement, and if I say no to the £10 charge do I get down-graded, if so what card would I get, in the terms and conditions it states that you get a debit card I'm not bothered at the no guarantee bit because I very rarely send cheques, so what do I do.

I think I'm gonna stick with the Plus account ... at least in the short term ... I will use most of the extra insurance benefits (well....hopefully not the identity theft ... lol) - so hopefully it will be cost effective ..

  • house ins.
    personal money £500
    personal possessions £2.500
    single article limit £2.500
so confused but as my mastercard protection is only £20 a year I think I might put my card on that.

Hi answers to the following questions will be appreciated,:

    1. Does any one know if the bank statement is issued by citibank monthly or quaterly?

    2. Is there any option online that you can order statement of your account whenever you want and whats the fee?

    3. If a downgrade is made from the plus account to the access account will the cheque book remain the same?

    4. After downgrading to the access account can one again upgrade to the plus account whenever he/she wants?

    5. What is the best and fastest way to deposit the money into citi account other than at their own branch?

A/1 every month you 'll receive a statement showing all the transactions you've made. your statement will also give you 14 days notice of any interest or standard account charges before they are deducted from your current account or savings account. we like to tell you when we have services or accounts that migth be of interest. this means that occasionally you may receive a letter, call or email, if you'd rather not receive any of these updates just let us know by calling citiphone banking or by sending a message to us through citibank online.

    A/2 yes

    A/3 yes

    A/4 yes

A/5 receiving money into your account e.g. wages benefits
    your account name
    your account number
    your sort code
    your bank address:
    citibank international plc.
    citigroup centre,
    19th floor,
    canada square,
    canary wharf,
    london,
    E14 5LB
this is the easiest way to put money in to your account.
