  • Hmmm, ok so is it going to matter if i do another on line application for the sterling account? Can i just rip up the access account application when it arrives instead of signing it? Or will they be expecting it back? Are the applications just generated by computer and sent out automatically when you input your details?

Could i ask any more questions? lol!

    Thanks

I am not sure how you stand to be honest, I would call them and tell them that you did mean to apply for that account. I do think that they cant set that account up without a signature or ID. So I guess there would be no harm filling the application in again. Just be careful that when you get the application through you send the correct one back.

THis is the account you need to apply for

Thought I would share this with you.

As most people are aware you get £50.00 for opening a Citi Bank Sterling Current account - That is now known as Citibank Plus Account

Quidco are also offering £30.00 if yuou open a Sterling Saver Account. Now as Citi Bank are changing all there account names I sent a email to Quidco to ask the following.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Can you advise what Savings account I need to open in order to take advantage of this great £30.00 offer. I am unable to find the account that you name on their website.

    Thanks

    This is Qudco's reply-
    Hi Robert,

It looks like Citibank are in the process of changing the name of their
Sterling accounts to 'Citibank Plus' accounts, so I'll find out if the
cashback offer still applies and get back to you about it.

    Thanks,
    Stuart

I will keep you all updated

  • quidco thats very interesting as I had to open a ticket with them as my £30 had not gone through, missed out on the £50 as well, as didn't know about it then, but they said they'd get on to it and find out, as they did track the click, just wondering now which savings account I have, going to ring them tomorrow to find out, as I haven't had any paper work about it, just my ID back saying thanks for applying, but then I now have a savings account, the quidco link took me to the flexisaver 2 savings account, but reading the terms and conditions I'm sure you had to put something like £75.000 in it I wish, so I'll check that out tomorrow, and switch if maybe.

  • I've just been looking at citi on there savings accounts and I don't see any problem with the flexisaver 2 account so I'm just going to stick with that as I'm going to be putting £300 amonth in it, as I'm saving up to re-design my back garden and make it more disable friendly, so I can enjoy it more.

  • well just up-date on my savings account, I have got the right account, and they are sending me details etc via post, and I am thinking of switching back to the plus account so that I can have the card protection, just in case I ever get my card, frauded, there's always a 1st time for everyone, its just peace of mind. I checked with my house ins but I am covered up to £2.500 quid for personal possessions but I dont think my cards are covered, they said I needed to take out a card protections out on them just to be sure, I cant find much on citi about card protection except credit card protection, and thats about £29 a year, so I'm getting very confused with all these insurances. as mastercard is only £15 a year.

Citi Protection does the following, This protection is part of the £10.00 per month charge. Obviously there are additional benefits for your £10.00 per month.
Covers all your debit, store and credit cards (including non-Citibank Cards). Also protects valuable documents such as passports and driving licences.
Covers the first named account holder and up to 4 additional household members
If your cards are lost or stolen one call will cancel all your cards and arrange for their reissue
Emergency cash assistance (£1,500 for hotel bills, £1,500 emergency cash & £2,500 for replacement Travel tickets) - Subject to status and this must be repaid after 28 days
Change your address and we will let all your card issuers know.
Protective registration if your personal details are lost at the same time as your cards. A flag will be registered on CIFAS, the UK's Fraud Prevention Service, meaning that other financial institutions will take extra precautions when opening an account in your name.
You will receive a key tag for each registered policy holder to place on your keyring. This will enable a finder to return the keys at no cost to themselves
    .

Hope thats the info your looking for

There Are Lots Of Different Insurances About, All Card Protection Insurances Should Cover You For Credit, Debit And Store Cards, I Have Mine With Barclays, And Its 20 A Year, They Cover Me For All Cards Even Familys Cards X
  • thanks I know about the £10 per month but wondered if I could get something cheaper, as £120 a year is a tad pricey for me, as I just want the card protection and not all they are offering, I have mastercard protection which I think was £20 last july so I might see if I can stick my citi card on that. as my mobiles are covered by my house insurance,
