WARNING
I had been on holiday for the past week and checked my accountg online today, I knew a DD was gonna leave my account on the 8th and I knew over £100 was going in that day too, So I thought that would be ok to pay the £25 dd
I was wrong, I got a £25 charge as there was no funds in my account, we I called them and said I had money credited too. After a few mins she advised there had been a techinal problem and they would refund the £25 within 2 days
Just a been of a warningIf I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

I have read back over MANY pages of this thread, hoping to find an answer to me query.
I applied for 2 citibank accounts in Jan via quidco. I have still not received the £49, despite 2 earnings enquiries to quidco.
1. Did anyone ever have any success getting their £50 from quidco (at any stage)?
2. Has anyone had any success since they launched an earnings enquiry? I have noticed a few people have launched ee since March, but no one has posted whether they got any money?
Many thanks for all help.0 -

Hello All!
I'm totally new here and have just completed my citibank application procedure. Within 2 weeks time I am ready to go with everything sorted! Here's a record of my communication with citibank:
6 May - filled in online application for Citi Access checking account/a dollar checking account and a flexible savers issue 3
8 May - received a pre-printed application form, sent back to the bank with a 2,000 quids cheque paid to myself and an amex statement
15 May - a welcome pack arrived (no sterling checkbook/pay-in slips included), US dollar checkbook and pay-in slip book received under separate cover
17 May - 3 PIN codes arrived
21 May (today) - a Visa debit card with check guarantee sign arrived, i have been able to set up online banking, seen a cleared initial deposit balance in my sterling account and have sucessfully transferred some fund over to my savings and USD account.
- Overall, I'm very pleased with the efficiency of this account opening procedure. Hate the 2000 pounds minimum balance to avoid US account fees though.
Can't wait to try out the Visa debit card, it seems a bit flimsy compared to my LloydsTSB visa card though. Hope I won't have any issues using it in shops.
P.S. This is my first account that comes with a check guarantee facility, though I'm not sure what is the point of having it if I do not have an OD? I never use check in shops and would find that embarassing to do so these days. Is there any advantage having this kind of card? Or should I request one without the guarantee thing to avoid unauthorised OD?0 -
can u tell me how does it look like... does it have the newer VISA sign or the old flag ?0
-
it's got the new visa logo which i'm not quite a big fan of it. the bird is still there on the front as usual. the old man's face hologram thing is on the back of the card.0
-
Does the card have the same design and color scheme as the VISA delta one ?0
-
i'm not sure - it certainly is a lot different from my blue/green lloyds tsb visa card, the major difference is the oldman's hologram on the back. can i post picture on this forum? the card looks ok- u shouldn't worry too much if u're gonna get it. i probably won't use it at shops but only at atms to get cash because i use amex to collect points.0
