Oh my goodness - babies are expensive. Well my planned budget for this week has been blown out of the water at this early stage. I spoke to sis so she asked if I would get her nappies, gripe water etc which would make it easier for her and then Mum asked me to pick up a few bits for her and I also got stuff for myself.
I knew this would be a funny week so hopefully the rest of the week will not be as bad.
Planned spends - w/c 29 Sept 14
Mon - [STRIKE]£20 (groceries for sis visit)[/STRIKE] - £76.90 spent:o
Tues - £25 (Xmas dinner, tea club & work lottery)
Wed - £5 (jujitzu)
Thurs - NSD
Fri - £10 (Fri take out)
Sat - £10 (groceries)
Sun - £30 (dinner out with family)0 -
Morning all:D,
First day back in work - I'm not sure what to expect - a million e-mails of which 95% are junk.
My colleagues will tell me that not much has happened in the last 2 weeks and then as the week progresses they remember things that are really urgent but have forgotten about:).
My plans are to get through the day but at least I'm on leave tmw.0 -
Good luck getting through today!0

Cheers Moomin - I survived....just:). I know that a character flaw I have is that I have to do things straight away when it would probably be better to sit back and take a breath. I had 300+ emails and although a lot were junk some of them required work doing and I kind of panicked that I had so much to do. I escaped at lunchtime which made me feel so much better and gave me a chance to clear my head.

So far not one of the days I have planned has turned out the way I had expected and I'm already overbudget for the week. I'm just back from holiday so I should have expected things to be out of sorts this week.0 -
Hi all
I missed a few days updating because it has been a bit manic in munchin land. Sister is home with hubby and baby and I've been making mountains of tea for visitors but it has been lovely. My sister has borrowed our Mum's car and went to friends last night so my Mum has borrowed my car and I'm a bit confined to quarters.
Spending front - bit overspent but as my colleague says "we are where we are":o. I think only about 2% was frittering so that isn't so bad and I did buy tickets for Lionel Ritchie who is coming in March:).
I'm now watching the Japanese F1 with a mug of coffee - bliss. Sister should be home in the next hour and then I'll know what our plans are.

Hi Greying - I keep sending text messages to OH "hello is it me your looking for" ......he tolerates me:p.
So today is an NSD - ok I have acquired Hello with gorgeous George on the front cover but it fell into my Mum's shopping - it was a necessity!!!.
I spent this afternoon making more tea - I wonder if I could get a 2nd job in a tea shop?? I think I have more of the same lined up for tomorrow.
Driving to OHs last night and there was 1/2 a field of turkeys pootling about .....I think that time of year is on its way.0 -
Morning all,
I am so tired and it's entirely my fault - I'm not working today so sat up late watching crappy tv. I have the dentist at 11 and am getting a filling replaced:(. I'm not counting it as a spend as it is painful and I have budgeted for it.
Sister and wee family went back to England yesterday. It was lovely to see them and she is thinking about coming back in Nov. I have booked flights for me and Mum in Dec to go over to the christening. I was factoring in sisters costs which included my nephews to take her over with us and then I thought sod it - if she asks I will cough up but I'm not going to chase them. Hopefully she will decide not to go.
I have found another NSD yesterday because I didn't venture far from home. Today I really want to have a clear out of all my clothes. My wardrobe is crammed full and it is a mixture of summer, casual, work, good clothes etc and I don't wear 1/2 of them so I'm going to be ruthless (I'm not very good at that). I'm also going to put the house back into order now that my sis has gone.
Money front - saw pair of gorgeous ankle boots for winter - £60.....do I need them? (yes yes yes :rotfl:)
Eating front - back onto structured eating again and using an app "Record Recovery". eating was fine on holiday and I went back to intuitive eating but after my holiday if it moved it got ate so I'm back to my big comfort blanket of structured eating.
Have a good day everyone:)0 -

Hi all
Well it's hard to believe how a phonecall can change things. OH just phoned to say that all the staff where he works were called into a meeting at 3 and they were told that the factory where he works is shutting with the loss of 800 jobs. I know that there had been talk of letting agency staff go but not the whole factory. I've looked it up on BBC news and it seems the factory will shut between 2016 - 2018. I'm not sure what to say because I think that it could be the best thing for him. I'm not saying that it is a good thing for anyone to lose their job but OH hates the place and maybe a redundancy package will let him focus on other things but there will be 800 people competing for these other things.
Ok away to ponder....0
