Evening world,
Ok confession time.... I hit the shops both online and in person:o. Ok I got an email from figleaves and they have a sale on at the moment. So online I visited Figleaves & Very. I then went into town and hit the shops - I hate shopping for clothes so I kind of do it on one big splurge - 3 hours later I had a top and a pair of jeans. I tried on loads but I didn't like any of it. So the damage is -
- Figleaves - £56 (Maxi dress, beach dress & top)
- Very - £31 (sun dress & top)
- Next - £12 (top)
- Wallis - £30.05 (crop jeans & 5p on bag charge)
I hope the maxi dress is a stayer but I'm already thinking the sun dress was a bad idea but we will wait and see.
Budget - £47.87
Ok plans tomorrow is to go to work, do a long run & pack for England - busy busy busy:D
The top and jeans are staying but I'm not sure about the rest.0 -
Morning all,
I thought this morning I would do a wee eating update as I had a blip at the weekend. I've ditched the diets and it has been great and I've slowly found that my portion sizes have gone down and I feel more normal. On Sat I had friends round but I had the house to clean from top to bottom and after lunchtime I was so anxious and panicky and I kept saying to myself "What is wrong?" but I couldn't identify it so I ended up eating 4 ripple bars out of a multi pack and I didn't even want them:o
I know now that I was anxious as I wanted everything to go right and I was panicking like mad. I've downloaded a relaxing 4 min app that encourages you to sit with your feelings and they will pass. My CBT counsellor would know that I was stuffing down feelings with chocolate but at the time my brain didn't follow the CBT protocol and instead it went for the Ripples:). Do you know that even typing out what happened and how I felt has been anxious - but it's kind of good too - free therapy:).
I ended up having a fantastic night and there was no reason to be anxious because my friends wouldn't have cared what the house looked like.

Bet the first ripple tasted so good though. Cheers Greying & INOD - ripples were good but don't think I could face one for a while....at least a week:D
So today was great - I finished work early and believe it or not it was sunny and hot!! what the heck is happening with our weather??. I put on my running shoes and went for a run round the forest with a mad american encouraging me all the way on my head phones. It is days like this that I am grateful for recovery and enjoying my running - even though the tortoise could probably out pace me at the moment.
I am packed and ready to go visit sister and new baby. I've kind of packed and unpacked a few times. I have loads of presents from family to take with me and that doesn't leave much space for my bits and bobs. I have to be up at 5 in the morning so I think its time I printed my boarding cards and went to bed.
Have a great day tomorrow everyone:)

Afternoon all,
I'm having a great time with my sister and her new baby:). We got to Belfast airport in good time and the plane got us into England just after 8. However we had to wait on the plane to get a bus to the right terminal - so it took us a good 30 mins from when the plane touched down and we got our luggage.
My sister picked us up at the airport and we stopped at Mr Ts to stock up supplies for her house. Mum and I have been taking it in turns nursing the baby and letting my sister go to sleep for a few hours during the day.
Yesterday we took baby for her first hike and today we ventured to a garden centre for lunch. Having Mum with my sister is giving her confidence as she told us she was worried with being on her own as her husband is away in Europe at the moment.0 -
Glad you're having a lovely time, Auntie0
