The hedge was a lot more work than I thought but it is lovely to look out at now. I have dinner all prepared and OH texted to say he had a large dinner in work so wasn't hungry. I will just make myself some and take the rest for my lunch tmw.0 -
Morning all
I've been a bit MIA the last few days but I blame the weather - it has just been so nice. Yesterday I went to the beach with my Mum, nephews & met up with my brother and his family and some cousins. It was such a great day but unfortunately I got sunburnt:(. I was wearing sunscrean and I hid behind the windbreaker but as I'm so pale the sun got me anyway.
This week was a bit spendy so I'm almost at the end of my budget but as long as it lasts to the end of the month it will be ok.
Budget- £27.37
I don't have any real plans for today or next week but sometimes its nice just to relax and read a book.

Evening all
Tomorrow is the last day of July and I have money left in my bank account:D. This is the first month in a very long time that I've had more money than month - ok it is only £20.13 but it is a start.
Budget- £20.13
My sunburn is much better - just a bit itchy but at least it is a lesson learned - I can't reach my whole back myself:).
I've been volunteering at various things and Mon night & tonight were taken up with volunteering but it keeps me out of mischief.
I'm working close to home tomorrow so it will only take me 15 minutes to get there and then I'm on leave on Friday and I get to spend a long weekend with OH.
Only 6 weeks to my holiday:D

Hi INOD - it was such a long month:), thank goodness the pennies have returned for August.
So this month I'm going to try something a wee bit different on the money front - I still have my budgets on YNAB but on my diary I'm going to allocate £60 a week. I will lift £60 on a Friday and attempt to make it last until the following Friday - most of my spending is done at the weekend. Ok this will only be up until the final week of August as I'm heading over to see my sister then and hopefully her new baby:D (due next week).
On the clothing front I got some new running gear......FREE:D. Volunteering at races is the way to go for a free wardrobe.
Budget (Fri) - £60

Hi all
I finally decided to the bite the bullet and declutter books/cds/dvds and try and make some pennies out of it. I've spent a fun afternoon comparing Music magpie, Amazon & We buy books.
If my junk is in good condition I will have made -
Music Magpie - £11.04 (11 items). I'm not sure about that because 1 item scanned twice as 2 different things but it has 4 cds but will wait and see.
We buy books -£12.79 for 3 books and 1 learn italian box set which was valued at £9.12 and I probably bought it for not much more than that.
Hopefully I have made £23.83 - some of my dvds were worth 20p:o. I still sold them though because they are gathering dust on my shelves.
Ok maybe next weekend I will be brave enough to venture back to ebay land:D

Hi all
Oops another week has gone by and I've not updated. Well my sister had a wee baby girl:D. So delighted for her and hubby - so that is my excuse - no time to update when you are waiting by the phone:).
Money front - I made it to Friday with change to spare which means I start of fresh with a new £60 in my purse however I'm going to the beauticians today and that will be £18 gone and I got chinese, some groceries and wine last night so that was another £20.25 out of the £60 so might just have £21.75 left for the week ahead.
Eating front & Exercise- I had the munchies yesterday and I think the problem is that I don't drink enough water - so that is my resolution - up the water intake. I have started running again - I'm trying to break in orthotics and just when I think they are sorted the physio tweaks them so I have to start again.
Plans today involve going to beauticians, running and trying to get new work shoes with a combination of vouchers.
