    Hi all

I had a wonder round Next yesterday to see what items I would like for my new job if I got a VIP invite to the sale but I didn't get one so that saves me spending any money.

I've been plotting and planning this morning & I have a new savings plan - once I pay of my kitchen in Dec. My car has 130,000 miles on it and with my new job it is going to go up a lot more (no bus or train service at all - downside to living in country:)) so I'm thinking long term and I need savings to buy a new car. I was looking at loans last night just to see what the interest would be (absolutely no plans to take out a loan) and I reckon that over the next 2 years I could save up enough to buy myself a car and have some money left over & not have to pay any fees. I know it is only July but I love a plan and the way this year is going it will be over in no time.

Hey Munchin just popping in to say Hi! :D

Wow! Good idea re saving for the car. Think of the interest you'll save :D

Great to see you full of positivity :D

    Morning all

    Back to work today ....sigh.....

Greying & INOD - thanks for popping by and I hope my positivity lasts :). I didn't know about about the Progressive and generally most deals affect the rest of the UK and exclude NI so it is nice to see a deal for us. I will have a read when I come home from work (or during work as I don't expect to be busy today:)).

I started using YNAB and I've noticed how much I fritter on food. Part of it is just laziness but another part is a reaction to any food planning - post ED hangover when meal plan equals diet equals freak out!!!. I need to get a handle on that and start doing weekly meal plans that I'm not 100% tied to but helps use up food and save money.

I also need to do some exercise, yesterday I pottered in the garden but I didn't really work up an appetite. Holidays in about 9 weeks so I need to do something.

    Have a good day everyone:D

    Morning all

I've been up since 6am when I didn't need to wake up until 7 - oh well back to normal. I used my time to raid the holiday clothes drawer and most things fit:). The things that don't fit never really did and I was planning on slimming into them at some point so I am going to ebay them.

I managed to avoid shops yesterday but I need to stop for petrol today as I'm driving on fumes.

I'm also returning 2 parcels today which I hope are accepted as today is the 30 day return deadline. I'm hoping that as they are going back by connect + then the tracking starts as soon as they are handed into the shop.

I'm on leave tomorrow and going to the beach with my family. It is supposed to be a wet miserable day..typical ..which probably means more money spent in doors. Hopefully the sun will pop its wee head out for a bit and keep the costs down.

    Roll on 5pm.

    Hi all

Ok today was seriously spendy and it isn't even 10am :o.

First of all, yesterday was so much fun. I went to the beach with mum, sis and nephews & just had a great day with minimal arguing:). We spent time at the amusements - I cannot cope with the noise and then went for lunch which was £30 for 5 people. We finished off the day with an icecream on the beach - it wasn't wet but it would be classed as bracing - the boys didn't seem to notice or mind.

I also think I got caught speeding:(. I was doing 68mph when I was overtaking someone when I saw the speed van. I thought I was fine as it was a dual carriageway but now OH says that I was on a piece of road that is part dual carriage way and part overtaking road and part ordinary road. I think I was on the overtaking part which would have been 60 grrrrrrrr. I've never been caught speeding as I'm quite a sedate person honestly.. I will know in the next 2 weeks.

So lets move on to the spends....I blame NEXT :D I'm starting my new job next month and need smart clothes. I wasn't going to go to the Next sale as my size is always sold out and most of it is junk. I decided when I woke up early to go anyway and for once it was a great sale and the stuff I had earmarked earlier was all there and in my size. I spent £195 but I'm returning £46 so I've spent £149 and then I have £20 of Next vouchers = £129. I have a new suit, trousers, 3 tops, 1 cardigan & a rain coat. The only thing I need now is shoes and maybe a black cardigan which I can get from Primark.

I also did my grocery shopping when I was out but it was a bit half hearted as I was coming straight from Next.

Hi Munchin. I've read your diary through today and how entertaining and inspiring it is! You are such a lovely auntie and I think you've done so well in trying to conquer your ED. Makes me and my on-off attempts to lose weight and get fit quite useless! So I shall take inspiration from you going forward!

Also loved the winter to-do list you posted back in 2012 I think it was. Shall pinch that for this winter.

I've added your diary to my subscribed list. It's gradually building up as I go along. And I really enjoyed reading yours today. And will pop in from time to time if you don't mind!

Morning Seasidegal & Dawnybabes - thank you for your lovely comments and reading. I always feel like I'm 1 step forward & then 2 steps back with my life/diary but I suppose we are all like that :).

Seasidegal - I need to dig out that winter list soon as I know that it is still July but we seem to be hurtling through the year.

I'm returning my Next raincoat as OH said he's going to buy me a "proper" raincoat. He's really into quality clothing & outer layers - I don't think we're heading up Everest anytime soon but if the opportunity ever came up we'd be ready:rotfl:.

Yesterday was a clean the house from top to bottom day:). Once I had that done I spent time sitting out in the sunshine with a book. Ok the sun was here for about 5 mins but I made the most of it. I don't have a lot of plans today - OH is working so I get to pootle a bit and see my sister.

    Budget - £97.89

    Hi all

Plans for today were to basically do very little however I'm not so good at that. I'm home now and I have a list of jobs so writing them here to make sure I do them -
    • polish & hoover living room
    • clean out bathroom:(
    • hoover hall
    • ironing
    • tidy up my room
    • cut front of hedge.
The hedge was cut with a tractor yesterday but there is always the bits it can't get to. Ok that will keep me out of trouble for a few hours:D
