Hi all,
I can't believe another week has scooted past. I have been so busy which is good but maybe not that productive.
I was working at our headquarters this week and have had a great time. I was able to meet up for lunch with old colleagues on 2 of the days (lunch bought for by friends:)). I met up with running club buddies and was able to go for a run before work and have a shower as their are facilities on site. I'm going to miss being there but a change is as good as a rest.
I'm in work all this week but next week I'm off to see my sister and new baby in England - all budgeted for.
Today we went to a christening from OHs side of the family. The service was long but we went to a nice hotel afterwards for lunch. We stopped at Sainsbugs on way home and OH paid for the shopping:T.
I've been doing this money thing where I take out £60 on a Friday and it has to do me the week. Well this week I actually had money left -£14.93 so it means that on Friday I had £74.93 to play with. I had a few spends over the last 2 days but I still have £54.18 for the week but I think that as most of my spends are done at the weekend then I'm doing really well this week and might even make this money stretch and not have to touch the £60 on Friday - well that is my plan.
Have a great week everyone

Evening all
Budget - £36.53 left for this week. I know I was hoping not to spend too much but a friend is doing a charity thing for "Aware Defeat depression" in memory of their cousin and I wanted to donate to it.
I'm so tired at the moment which is reflected in my lack of posting. I've been working quite a bit and I've not had a proper holiday/break in a long time. I've saved as much leave as I can, as I have holidays planned for Sept/Oct and it has been a long slog waiting for my holidays. At least Mon is a bank holiday and I'm only in work 1 day next week. I go on my summer holiday in just under 4 weeks and I'm so looking forward to not setting an alarm

Evening all
I popped into Mr Ts today just to get bits and bobs for the weekend and I was spending money from this week's £60 budget which leaves me a grand total of £1.52. As you know I had hoped to have a lot more than this left but it isn't the end of the world and I have £60 to play with tmw.
This weekend I've made plans for friends to come round and I need to give OH £20 towards that. I'm not in work on Monday and on Wed I fly to England and I've set aside £100 to spend there. We will not be going to the shops but just hanging about with sister. We might go for lunch but I'm hoping £100 will be enough for a week but we will see.
I've been reading a blog about not spending anything for a year - I love these motivational blogs but they are way too hard core for me. However they always inspire me to do better. I'm hoping to drop my spending from £60 a week to £50 but I have a lot of things coming up with my trip to England and then my holiday to Turkey and another short break in Oct:o. My plan is obviously to try and be frugal to the end of the year and then to survive on £50 a week in January which means I will have to get a handle on frittering before then.
OH is working on Sat so plan is to go for a run, buy baby clothes in Mothercare with vouchers and then clean the house from top to bottom for friends coming round.

Morning Greying - I can't wait to see my niece and will try not to knock Mum & sister out of the way to get the first nurse:D. OH says I have to pack ear plugs as well - he's not really into kids:). Thank you for the link to the cheap recipes - will have to take time to read it properly.
In the spirit of the hardcore blogs - I got up a little bit earlier this morning and made myself a lovely salad with avocado (anyone know how to stop these ripening soooo fast??), pasta and other nice things. I had a munchy day yesterday but I know that was because I didn't eat enough during the day so I was hungry and wanted quick sugar. I'm planning ahead today.
I don't think I will have an NSD today - I don't need anything but I saw the tea club girl getting ready to rattle her tin yesterday and OH usually rings on a Friday with his shopping list.
Have a great day everyone.

:rotfl::rotfl: ^^ love that:D
Hey, Munchin regarding avocado - I'm afraid I have the reverse, they take forever to ripen. But in one of those PDF recipe booklets, I think it is the 'cheap' one, there is an avocado smoothie recipe. I was just wondering whether it would be easier to eat/digest for brekkie? Good on you for being able to face salad for brekkie though - I couldn't - I know my limitationsStill, not too sure I could go the 'full cooked' route either
Keep planning Dear Heart!

Hi Greying - oh I didn't write my post correctly, I was actually making the salad for my lunch so that I wouldn't spend any money
. I don't know about smoothies - I see lots of versions on the net but I tried smoothies once and it didn't feel like food - maybe that is just me.
So today was ok - I just want to start my holidays...stumps feet in frustration. Tomorrow 3 weeks I will be in Turkey:D. I think I've said it before and haven't done it but I'm going to take a weeks leave earlier in the year and not save everything to the end of the year because I get so knackered.
Money front - I spent £8.60 on pizza tonight but OH gave me £20 but as we have friends tomorrow I have to buy some smellies for the house. So at the moment my budget for the week is - £77.09,
I'm going to Mothercare tmw and maybe M&S but I have vouchers and am not afraid to spend them:)

Afternoon world,
So I hit the shops this morning and bought my niece some lovely dresses in Mothercare and I managed to finally use up my vouchers so no real money spent (well in my head). I went to Asda and spent £17.60 which should keep us going as I'm away from Wed.
Budget - £59.49
I have loads of cleaning to do in the house before tonight-- defrost freezer
- Clean kitchen (floor & all)
- clean utility room
- clean dining room
- clean bathroom:(
- clean living room
- hoover hall
- do nails.

Hello again,
I'm sitting here with a wee G&T - I think it is deserved as the house is gleaming like a new pin. I'm also slightly knackered so hopefully a shower will bring me back to life

Afternoon all
Sitting watching F1 with a stack of mags beside me (free from friend) = perfect weekend.
I had a lovely night but a bit tired this morning. It was so nice having friends round and OH was in good form but went to bed early as he was working this morning at super early o'clock.
So today's excitement - I went for a run as it is a gorgeous day. As I was running down the road I saw lots of blue smoke from other side of the hill. A car was sitting at a really odd angle and this guy was kind of staggering about the road. He had clipped another car at the top of the hill lost control and spun & crashed. I ran up to him but I think he was a bit dazed and didn't want any help from me (heaven knows what I would have done). The neighbours were coming out of their houses and once I was sure he was being looked after - I trotted on.
I also tried on my summer holiday clothes and some of them don't fit.....must be those pesky moths. I might need a few items but there are plenty of sales on so I will have a look next week. On the one hand recovery is amazing ...on the other its costing me a fortune in clothes:)
