Hi all
Only 2 more days of work and then I'm on my holibobs:).
Today was good, I managed a 5 mile run which although slow was pretty much pain free until the last few steps. I've entered a 10k race in Oct and after today I feel really confident that although I will not be winning any medals I should be able to complete it.
I also had a trip to the dentist and had a filling replaced. I have to go back for another appointment in 3 weeks and have a temporary filing in until then. I also get the bill then as well:(.
Other than that things are good0 -

:j:j - If you're *there* already I hope you're in *chillax* mode, if you're travelling today, then I hope it goes well and that you are soon *chillaxing*
All good wishes for a relaxing time Munchin

Morning all
Well I'm packed:D and we're heading to the airport at 11.30 - so excited. The only thing I can't find is my flip flops but I have sandals and they will do.
I dithered on packing too much or too little and according to the scales the case weighs 15 kg so I reckon I could bung in a few more bits.
Have a great day everyone and I shall be back in 2 weeks (typical that I'm heading of to warmer climes and it is lovely here today).

Hi all, hotel has no tv which is fantastic & relaxing but it does have wifi:D.
I was a bit nervy the first couple of days as I hate being out of a routine but now I've embraced my holiday & it is great. My face got a bit burnt on tues which resulted in massive cold sore grrrrr. I'm goin buy a sunhat today to give face a break.
We've been to olympos ruins (my favourite) and snorkelled in sea. We eat out at night & cost is about £17 for both of us. Breakfast is included in hotel cost so we make most of it.
We still have a boat trip & chimaera fire to visit - so looking forward to it all. I think weather is good at home ....well that is what my sister says.
Time for breakfast:)0 -
Hi all
I'm back & raring to go:) - don't tell OH but I am secretly happy to be home. I had a great holiday and we had such a good time together but I started to miss home a bit or maybe just the routine. We got back in the early hours this morning and the washing machine has been on the go since early hours.
I do have colour ...well lots more freckles but for me that is colour. I met up with my sister and nephew earlier and had so many hugs and kisses from nephew....I think I was missed:).
I have a podiatrist appointment tomorrow as I keep getting a blister with my new orthotics but this is a free appointment. I go back to work on Tues but I'm on leave on Wed....such a hard life. My sister is home with her new baby so I have to tidy the house and pick her up from the airport.
I'm back on the budgeting bandwagon as I now have a christening in England to go to in Dec which I hadn't factored into this years costs.
It is a bit early but I saw some Xmas selection boxes in the shops today:)0 -
Hey Munchin - Welcome Home
Have you been wearing your black arm-band all day - now that 'Gorgeous George' is officially off the market??? I have:rotfl: [Joke

Hi Greying - do you remember when Robbie left Take That and all these teenagers were phoning helplines?? Why is there no Gorgeous George helpline for us?:D I did ask OH if/when we got married could we go to Venice but he said we could afford a bathtub on the Bann (local river:)).
On money front I'm going to write down on here what I expect to spend during the week and try and see if reality matches up to fantasy. I'm a bit wobbly this week as I'm only going back to work so I'm not sure what unexpected spends will be waiting for me but it should help me be more accountable. I'm also going to keep a shopping list of things I would like to buy (winter boots etc) and see if the impulse passes me by or I do actually need them. Can you tell I've had a budgeting break and am ready to go again.
I spoke to my sister in England and I need to budget for flights and a christening pressie for my niece in Dec never mind the normal Xmas presents. I usually pay for Mum's flights and my nephews so if we count in car hire costs it could easily be £500........ gulp.
Planned spends - w/c 29 Sept 14
Mon - £20 (groceries for sis visit)
Tues - £25 (Xmas dinner, tea club & work lottery)
Wed - £5 (jujitzu)
Thurs - NSD
Fri - £10 (Fri take out)
Sat - £10 (groceries)
Sun - £30 (dinner out with family)
Future spends
Niece christening (Flights £355, Car hire £85, Car parking £10, Present £50 = Total guesstimate £500)
Winter boots = £70
Lionel Ritchie tickets = £880
