    Hi all

Strange thing happened today - my cousin met an ex school friend of mine and I use the term friend very loosely:(. I was bullied in school because I wasn't from the same area. This girl actually told my cousin that my class had some real b****es and although she didn't bully me herself she did join in....... . I was telling my OH about the conversation but what made me smile was that I'm over it, I didn't enjoy school, I never want to see those girls ever again but until my cousin met her I hadn't given her or any of them any thought in years. This girl met my cousin and the first thing she mentioned was the bullying - maybe that is the best form of revenge in that it must bug her the way she behaved or why else would she mention it.:D Maybe I'm over analysing it.

Money front - NSD for me today:). I also made spag bol and have 2 lunch size portions sitting in the fridge. I'm going to a running event this week - which always has food so that is another meal covered. I have a charity event on Sat so my plan is to not spend any money apart from diesel until Sat.

    Morning all

A bit of copy and paste from NSKs thread.

Yesterday I found £25 of M&S vouchers. I was looking for a some paperwork which I keep in a big file thing. I took everything out of it as it needed a tidy and I found paperwork to do with a work saving scheme and there was a card which didn't looked opened. I joined this scheme 7 years ago so I'm hoping the vouchers are still valid.

I need to get my butt into gear as I need to build up some flexi - I have loads of leave booked of in Aug, Sept & Oct. I'm going to visit sister in Aug and then holibobs with OH. Work is very quiet which is normal for the summer but I can use this as time to sort out my desk and make plans for the new postholder when I move on.

Lunch made & snacks ready for another exciting day. Have a good day everyone:)

I spent money yesterday - £2.21. I was on my way home and got a text from my Mum for milk and bread. I couldn't really tell her to wait as I wanted a SFD:).

I was late home because I was asked to join a charity board thing which was only supposed to be 1 day per month. I'm now signed up to meet them to sign forms every Wed evening:). I don't mind but I hadn't planned how late it would go and I was soooo hungry & it didn't help that I could smell the fish and chip shop next door .
  • Well done on the new job. xxx diets are torture. If i dont lose in a week I end up getting a bottle of wine!

    Hi all

Skint - I think a bottle of wine is always preferable to a diet:)

Greying - yup I was there this morning and it would have been rude not to help them by eating the buns:D - I hope they raised lots of money for a hospital which helped a cousin of mine. I was also at a charity thing last night which I was working at and hopefully if the crowd was anything to go by it was successful.

I have killed my piggy bank this morning and found that there was £312 of £2 coins in it. I bagged up £300 and took them to the post office and then I paid that money of my kitchen. I know that the kitchen is a debt so I'm no longer debt free but it isn't due to be paid until January so by my logic I am debt free unless I don't have it paid of - my diary = my logic:D

I have lots of Sat jobs to do but as OH is working tomorrow I will put them of until then.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Hi all

I had one of those 'aha' moments last night, it just clicked that I have been obsessed with my weight, my size my shape. I suffered from an ED (thankfully recovered) but I continued to obsess about diet/fatness/my shape/size. I decided that although I've said before that "diets don't work for me"- I've always hankered after that magic potion. I also spend ages on the net researching the latest magic hope in dieting. I've called time on it all - last night I deleted all my links to dieting blogs. I got rid of my links to recovery websites (apart from one which I paid for and it kept me recovered:o). The next question is ...what am I going to do now that I am not focusing on dieting... that should be interesting. I can't say that I wont slip up but I will do my best. Yes can you tell the therapy has finally clicked:D.

I had a bleurgh day in work & left earlier than usual - I put on my trainers and went for a wee jog and it doesn't seem so bad now. I forgot my hair band so I was very pink and frizzy looking by the end - imagine the curly one from the Hair Bear bunch:) (if you were born in the 70s).

  • LBM aren't restricted to finances as I discovered recently. You've just created a whole world of possibilities by reducing the restrictions you've placed on yourself. I'd say not to even try to find something else to focus on for a while but kick back and enjoy the freedom.

    Hi all

INOD - thank you for that message and it just sums up part of my aha moment perfectly:). I was actually thinking..."what do i do now?" which led me to dyeing my hair.....not good. I did however spend a lovely evening with my sister. The ED was a waste of 11 years of my life & it was time I dropped those restrictions.

Work was fine today - I'm finding it hard to fill my day as this is our quietest time of year and it is hard to stay motivated when it is sunny outside and I'm busy watching the clock. I know that I shall be moving in the next few months and I'm looking forward to the change.

I managed to avoid the shops which means that my lunch is becoming very interesting - bread, 1/2 an avocado & houmous - lovely.

Yeah we are heading towards the weekend and we have 2 public holidays.

I have done that mid month budget check and yup I have more month left than money:D. I will be fine but I do what I always do and change my budget to a total spends budget for the rest of the month. I have 3 weekends to go and I'm spending a day with family next week but money should stretch.

Good news front - because of the 12th holidays & 1 day annual leave then I'm only in work 2 days next week - woo hoo.

    Budget = £207.70
