Hi Moomin - thank you for the invite:D. I'm hopefully popping over to Glasgow.

I got all my jobs done:D and I managed to clear out the garage so I can finally get my car back into it. I am happily knackered.

I'm back in work tomorrow but on a 1/2 day so hopefully the day will fly in.

I have been doing more things recently for fun. I went for dinner with my sister and nephew tonight and I'm going to the cinema with them this weekend - pick & mix:D

    Pay day tomorrow:D

    Afternoon all:D

Hi Greying - everything is grand thank you for asking. I just lost that mojo thing so I sent out a search party and I managed to catch it:D.

Nothing exciting has been happening in Munchin land but I've been pootling away. OH was away this weekend so I've kept up with friends and done my own thing.

I have my hospital appointment this week - not looking forward to it but needs must. Once I have that out of the way then things will start looking up.:)

Money front - not good but also compared to others - not so bad. I accidently put a bit much money into my savings but I think I need some of it again - sigh. I'm buying new orthotics because even though I've done all the exercises my knee has a tiny niggle which will not go. I've gone private as I have seen 2 NHS podiatrists over the years and they were lovely but didn't solve the problem. My car tax landed on the doorstep yesterday - £130 and OH is servicing my car tomorrow but I only have to pay him for oil and filters - £40 ish?

In reality I probably only have £50 left in my bank account once I pay OH. I will see how far the £50 takes me before I move money out of my savings.

    Money:

    Bank: £90
    Purse: £4.13
    Credit card: £75

    Evening all,

I met some friends yesterday for lunch and it was lovely to catch up - their work situations are a bit carp and on dodgy ground so I'm grateful that I might have bad days but I have a relatively secure job (ok I know I've just jinxed myself).

I feel really good tonight as I had a stressful meeting today and probably worrying about it was worse than actually doing it. I am so relieved that it is over:D

Money front - I forgot to mention that the reason I need my savings up is because I have to pay of my kitchen by Jan 15 otherwise I have to pay interest. I've kind of worked out that if I budget carefully I should have enough money by Dec but no matter how carefully I budget, money is always needed for something else. OH serviced my car yesterday which was great but he told me I needed two new front tires :( - something I hadn't budgeted for.

I know it is boring talking about the weather but since last Tues we have had 4 thunder and lightening storms. Wed night we lost power from 8 - 10, Sat morning from before 7am to 1pm and then we lost power on Sunday from 6pm to sometime after 11pm. I had gone to bed at 11 as there was no sign of it coming on. At least I know OH & I can carry on a conversation :D
  • Hi muchin. Hope you don't mind another friend following you xx I heard asda do tyres.... told someone else today... look online they could be more reasonable x

Hi Skint - thank you for popping along :D and for the advice on Asda tyres. Unfortunately I would have to travel to Scotland to get them fitted as they don't seem to do them in N Ireland yet - typical:).

Plans today - obsess about food:(. I have my colonoscopy tomorrow and I can't eat anything apart from clear liquids after 9am this morning. As a former ED person ( see that - "former":D) I was a bit worried as I know the way my brain works but I have a huge vat of clear soup made by my Mum and it will be grand. The thing that is worrying me most and I know it is ridiculous is ...... the hospital gown:rotfl:. I've never been in hospital for anything (thank goodness) and I know this is not a very dignified process but do I have to take all my clothes of to wear the gown?? It's a bit too late to be bashful:o but hey I'm odd like that.

Money front - I moved £200 out of my savings as I was worrying so much about being short on money and now needing to buy tyres which I will do on Friday. I can update my spends on here once I know what I have left.

I also contacted Sky last night - grrrrr:(. I paid my line rental up front last year so got a bit of a discount but they have now done away with that. BT etc all offer discounted line rental but Sky have done away with it - talk about not helping their customers. I just wanted to see when I have to start paying it and I was right - July. A wee bit extra onto my monthly bills.

I'm away to have some white bread (no fibre) - I take it eating the entire loaf is not an option:D

    Have a good day everyone.

Mr Mooo has had a colonoscopy done and says "when you consider that the inside of your colon is about to appear on tv, being naked under the gown isn't so bad" :rotfl::rotfl:

I think what he means by that is that yes, you will have to take everything off apart from the gown.

    Hope it all goes well.

Munchin - I've not had an internal camera procedure, but I've had to wear a gown to cover me in the otherwise 'all together'. They ain't never gonna appear on a cat walk near Milano soon :p But at least we all have to wear them, and lets face it - they flatter no-one :D

My one piece of advice is to wear 'simple' clothing to the appointment. In that you have to take it off and put it back on again, so may as well make the process as easy as poss, and not have to fret over fiddly buttons etc ;) It's one less thing to get flustered about.

I like Mr Moomin's take on the matter :D

+1 with Moomin - hope it all goes well tomorrow.
