  • Whatever diagnosis you get will at least allow you to deal better with the condition. Fingers crossed.

Well said, INOD. Good on you for seeking guidance Munchin. Hope that the medics get to the root of the issue for you and the healing can begin.

    Keep looking after yourself :D

Hi INOD & Greying - thank you for your lovely comments. I'm actually really pleased that a consultant has listened to me, as you say that was half the battle. I've been back and forwards to my GP and its great to have got this far. I'm usually a very positive person so whatever it is I will deal with it:) . Your support and comments are great.

    Hi all

I had a fantastic day yesterday:). First of all it started brilliantly in the morning when Mr Postman arrived. I have been a bit skint this month as I had forgotten a few bits and bobs I had to pay. I was working on the budget for May and was thinking it was going to be a bit tight. Guess what - Mr Postman brought me a cheque for £150.19:T.
I have to give Martin & the forum members a big thank you - ages ago I had card protection with HSBC, after starting to lurk on this forum I rang them to cancel it and basically got told that terrible things would happen if I didn't. I let it go another year before I rang again and they cancelled it with no argument. I got one of those CPP letters and then I saw Martin's e-mail to say that it wasn't junk so I filled it in and a cheque arrived yesterday:D. I didn't expect anything but it couldn't have come at a better time.

In the afternoon I went to the Titanic exhibition with my family and the circuit of Ireland rally was finishing beside it so we saw some amazing drummers and rally cars as well. We then went to a lovely restaurant and just had a really relaxing but fun evening.

I'm going to have to get up and at it soon as it is Easter and there better be a giant bunny calling soon:D.:EasterBun
    Have a great day everyone.

Morning Munchin, just dropping by to say my mum had awful tummy flare ups, turned out to be diverticulitis, and the biggest trigger was her favourite seeded loafs, you know the ones ? Pumpkin seeds and oats in and on top ? Once she stopped those, the flare up dropped drastically.
Dont know if you eat those, but if you do, might be woth dropping them to see if it helps. No seeds in Easter Eggs tho ... Have a lovely day x
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..

Hi Mara_uk7 - thank you for dropping by :). I know the bread you are talking about and it is gorgeous but I wouldn't usually eat that type of bread but I do eat seeds and nuts. I get your point though that there is probably something setting it of so better keep a wee note. I think I would totally despair if it had been chocolate that was the problem:eek::D

    Morning all,

I think I have a cold coming on but sometimes these things pass.

So it is that time of the month when I look at the budget for next month and it is looking a bit tight. I've worked out a budget for the next 7 months that ensures that I pay off my kitchen and my holidays so I can't complain. However as I'm now going out to dinner and staying over in a nice hotel in May it has taken a chunk out of my spending money. I also have a hair appointment and I want to donate money to a friend who is running the Belfast marathon in memory of his daughter.

So I'm not really skint in the true sense but I have a plan and my spending money for May has to be £100:eek:. I like a challenge:cool:.

    Plans
    • Cut out the unnecessary - magazines have started creeping in again:o - so that has to stop. I don't need any smellys or other unnecessary faff.
    • Write a shopping list - & stick with it.
    • Write it all down
    • At least 20 NSDs in May.
    • Go find NSKs thread and see what she has in store.
On the positives - I painted the spare room yesterday and it cost me £18.98 for the can of paint:D. I used up the left over ceiling paint which the decorator had left behind so I only needed wall paint.

Work is madly busy but I'm enjoying it - need to get my skates on & hit the road.

    Morning all,

Oh I had such a bad nights sleep it's not funny so I better put the kettle on:coffee:. I also had a blip on the eating front so that had me stressed out although as it is my totm that should explain it.

I have decided to budget £10 a week on my lunch spends because I know that if I eat something I don't find satisfying it can lead to a binge so I'm going to try and treat myself at lunchtime to try and cut out the night binges - makes sense in my head:D.

I am out for dinner tomorrow night with a new committee I've joined and I'm a bit nervous as although I know 2 people I don't know the rest.

Ok that is enough complaining from me for 1 day:D
