    Hi all:)

I'm back...anyone like some Dairymilk?? I bought 2 bars as it will take more than one to make a decision on the quality:o.

Ha, Greying reporting in to hear 'Dairymilk Quality Digest' report :rotfl: Only 2 though??? Shouldn't you have got 3 - I mean, the first bar might be 'pants', the second 'brill' - how are you going to be able to reach a verdict without a 'decider' bar?????? :rotfl:

That's interesting about the running. So, with not moving your right arm, is that 'throwing out' your balance - perhaps increasing the potential to injury or is it just an inefficient way to run - ie not maximising all the muscle groups to make you go faster/longer/stronger??

Fascinating. Glad you enjoyed the trip :D

    Hiya

INOD - I didn't eat the chocolate in the car because of my willpower:rotfl:- only joking. I put the choc in my car boot as I was scared that the runners would find out I had a chocolate stash and think I wasn't a proper runner:o:o:o. If it had been to hand it would have been gone:EasterBun(ok I know that is an Easter smiley but you know what I mean:D.)

Hi Greying - I knew I should have gone with 3 bars as OH expects me to share :). I think but I'm not sure but I have tested a small portion and I think INOD is right. The dairy milk does taste better. OH says I have to go buy a bar from the local shop to do a proper comparison. I've never had such a great excuse to buy & eat chocolate:D. If the DM from the south is nicer then why is that?? are they not all made the same way??

Running front - the holding my arm thing is inefficient and coupled with not holding my pelvis correctly is more than likely causing my injuries. I'm 'allowing' my leg to collapse inwards with each stride and eventually the IT band gets irritated and causes all this pain. If I hold my pelvis correctly then this reduces the collapsing in of the leg. As I've been pottering about the house I keep reminding myself to hold my core. It isn't something I will fix overnight but it will come.

So based on having a good day yesterday I've been planning my runs - ok I know that it will take more than 1 class for me to be up there with Paula Radcliffe - but I love a plan.

I'm going away in Oct with the running club so my plan is either a 10k or a half. I have 32 weeks between now and then - based on this and taking it very slowly will determine what I can do.

Starting this week I'm just going to get back run/walking at least 3 times per week. If this goes ok and I'm not crippled by the end of March then I will start the Jeff Galloway 10k programme which is 13 weeks long. If it all goes ok then I will move on to the 1/2. Realistically with so many years out injured I think I will aim for the 10k and concentrate on enjoying running again.

    Evening everyone,

A bit late in updating this week but I had a scary interview/presentation sprung on me this week. I was very stressed on Mon & Tues and then just tired today. I survived to tell the tale:D.

I did make it out for a run yesterday morning and planning my next run for Friday. My physio asked me to leave it 2 days in between runs while my knee settles down.

Still doing the £5 a day challenge and doing ok. I included my groceries today just to see if overall I can live on £35 a week. I know that when I have to do a big shop the £5 will be out the window but I'm doing ok.

    Tues - +£9/..........£0 spends
    Wed - +£14/...........£10.25 spends

    Hello again,

I'm feeling a bit fed up - I'm not on a downer I'm just tired and fed up. I know that it is my gremlin on my shoulder which is getting to me (eating disorder). I've put on weight and my clothes are tight again. I like being at a lighter weight I feel better in myself and look better. I've almost recovered form my ED but I had hoped that I would have settled at my "set point" weight by now but I suppose this hasn't happened because I was continuing to have binges, then mini binges and now finally eating a wee bit extra. I know that I have come so far but the thought of going on holiday in 6 months is starting to freak me out.

I spent last night looking at how to shift the weight without dieting but I'm so scared that if I even think about restricting then down the rabbit hole I will go:( but if I don't do something then I will eventually end up with the ED again anyway.

Intuitive eating is hit and miss so I'm going to go back to my fail safe - structured eating and have 3 meals & 3 snacks. I wish I could eat normally but I suppose I'm a bit like an alcoholic and it isn't so simple. I'm tempted to keep a note of calories to make sure I'm eating enough as I'm carp on portion sizes and probably eat too little which leads me to eating too much in the end (but is that my eating disorder tricking me and I will become obsessive again?). I'm 40 years old and fed up with being like this.

All these thoughts have been going round my head for a few days and I find putting them on here reduces the thoughts spiralling round in my head.

When I was with my counsellor she said that like an alcoholic I may never be fully recovered but I can manage it and that made me feel so good. I suppose I want to be "fixed" and I have to accept that I just have to manage it.

Oh dear not quite a happy post but feel so much better:D

    Back again,

I'm feeling much better than I did this morning but now my stomach is so sore. I'm starting to think that maybe I'm coming down with something and the tiredness etc is all linked.

I spent £1.90 today. I went in for a nosy in the local charity shop and bought a book and 3 soup bowls for £1.90:).

OH niece is coming round to visit tonight so I have cleaned the house but I could really do with her cancelling her visit.

I've taken money out of my signature as I now know how much my rates are going to be this month. It's mad but I'm such a planner.

On better news the 2014 F1 grand prix highlights are on in 18 mins:D
  • Glad to hear you're in better spirits.

Cheers INOD - I feel much better and need to keep reminding myself that I had this illness for 11 years and a bit of weight gain is not the end of the world:D. I have to believe that once I eat "normally" and stop all bingeing then my weight will settle (it just takes so long:o).

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I went to a race where I didn't have much marshalling to do so I got to spend time chatting with friends. I went to St Paddies day mass this morning with Mum and nephews and watched some Irish dancing. We took boys to the park and then had chips:D. Perfect day.

I'm trying to talk myself into going to circuits tonight. I've lost my mojo with this particular class and I have joined up with another one which starts next week. I feel that as I know the trainer I can't let him down but I'm so bored with his class.

I hope you all have a great day.
