    Morning all,

The month has not even started and I know it is going to be very tight. OH bought groceries yesterday but I need to give him £20 as some sort of contribution.

I stopped at the shop today as I needed the paper, butter, bananas and a few other bits and bobs = £6.90 (doesn't take long to add up). I also gave £2 to my church collection. I have put in an avon order and as my usual face cream is down to £12 I got it, it lasts ages but I didn't need to add the bubble bath and lipstick :o - so I need to budget £18.

    Budget April

    Diesel...............
    ......£xx/£155
    Almost everything...£46.90/£160

I'm hoping for as many NSDs for the rest of the week.

Plans today - I've done some ironing and tidied up the house. I'm expecting my brothers to pop up for mothers day so I will be on tea duty. OH and I had roast chicken last night so he has asked me to make soup with the leftovers.

Got to run as first brother has landed :D

    Evening all (well nearly),

I am sooo shattered because I've not been sleeping well - I usually sleep like a log so it is always a surprise when I have these wee blips.

I got home from work early and decided it was time to sort out my accounts and receipts that I have been shoving into the back of a drawer for ages. I keep them because you never know but it is getting a bit ridiculous now.

I also have ironing to do but I've successfully managed to put that off for another day.

Spends today £48.01 on liquid gold. I also spent over £800 on my rates bill today. I'm quite pleased that I can pay it off in one go now (couldn't do that before) but I hate to see the money going out of my savings. I also looked at my budget and I've changed it. I promise not to change it again:o.

    Evening everyone,

Sitting here watching F1 highlights:). I had a really bad tummy flare up today which is the first in a long time so I'm just taking it very easy and not doing much.

    Diesel...............
    ......£70.01/£155
    Almost everything...£35.05/£200

Before I had the dreaded flare up I went to Asda today for some bits and bobs and spent £35.05 on groceries which I really hope should do me the week. OH and I went to the pub to watch the grand national (soft drink), I didn't bet on any of the horses but it was still good to cheer on OHs 3 legged donkey:).

OH and my sister are working tomorrow so I'm babysitting nephew no 2 and we can keep each other company:).

Ah, take it that you'll not be retiring to Grand Cayman on the winnings then Munchin....:rotfl: I managed to totally miss the GN - no idea who won or what. And then I saw an advert for the London Marathon on TV last night - where's the year going

Was it my imagination, or did the F1 cars sound louder in Bahrain than in Melbourne???

Have a good time with Nephew #2 - hope you remember to *play nicely and share* :p:rotfl: [pulling your leg :D:D]

    Have a great day :D

Hi Greying - lovely to see you. I'm not sharing my toys with nephew no 2 again:rotfl:. He is as cute as a button with a really angelic face but an imp on the inside:).

I know what you mean about the sound of the engines - I reckon the TV men are up to some form of trickery.

So today I've been very virtuous and squeezed in a 3 mile run:T. Ok I ran/walked it but for the first time in I don't know how long I hit the spot where the run felt enjoyable and no effort at all. Ok it didn't last but there are signs of life :). Stomach is still a bit tender from yesterday but it is better than it was - I can't seem to get enough tea and I'm going with it.

Nephew no 2 is away across the fields to his cousins farm for a bit (can you tell I live in the country) - so I have peace and quiet for about 5 mins. I know he will be back with more imps in tow.

Ok plans this week - I must get a card and some sort of gift for OHs birthday. It's my Mum's birthday as well but we're going to the Titanic experience and dinner afterwards so that will be her treat.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Morning all,

Another week has flown by and I am on leave :D. I have such a busy day ahead that I need to put a list together -
    • Run:)
    • Doctors
    • Funeral
    • Shopping to buy card & gift for OH
    • Pick up nephew no 2 from school
    • Tidy up bedroom and strip bed
    • Dye hair (courtesy of sister)
    • Sleep
A neighbour passed away suddenly and is being buried today so I've had to shift things round a bit.

Interesting thing since last tummy flare up - I can't abide milk in tea....don't know how that is connected but hopefully I will find out next Wed when I go to the gastroentrology clinic (10 month waiting list but I'm finally there).

    Ok - task 1 of my list - Run:D

    Hi all

What a gorgeous day - Oh is cutting grass and I'm watching him (he has a ride on lawn mower so I'm not being too lazy).

OH and I have been away hiking for a few days for his birthday and I've spent this afternoon washing and ironing and putting things back in the right order.

I also did a quick check on my budget for the rest of the month and I have a grand total of £120 left to see me through. I have my Mum's birthday coming up this weekend and I need to get her some flowers or something. We are taking her out to dinner so that is part of her present. I also need to to contribute money to the Easter dinner and I owe money to Avon.

Got to run as OH needs a hand.

    Morning all

I had another tummy flare up this weekend (getting to be a habit:)) but not as bad as the previous week. I went to see my consultant yesterday after being on a waiting list forever. I had been told by my GP that it was probably food allergies so I have been trying to pin down what is triggering it but the consultant thinks it is diverticulitis disease and I need to have a colonoscopy:eek:. I've decided to up my fibre anyway and see what happens. It would be nice to know what it is and to get it sorted.

I don't have a lot planned today except work but I'm looking forward to the Easter break.

  • I really do feel for you but, and I hope you take this in the manner it's meant, I'm struggling with the thought that silt happens! Chin up. You've gotten over the big hurdle which for me is having the medics take "a sore tummy" seriously. Whatever diagnosis you get will at least allow you to deal better with the condition. Fingers crossed.
