Hi virtual friends - thank you:D. Still a bit nervous but going to go with a positive outlook. I was told yesterday that I basically just had to make it to the train station and after that everything would be taken care of :T. I'm going to go for a wee run in a bit as that usually puts me in the right frame of mind.
I got my payslip yesterday and I knew that the ni was going down but my pension contribution was going up and last year I lost about £30 out of my salary - this year my salary has reduced by 89p - I can cope with that;). I remember the days when you used to get a pay rise - distant memories:).
So plans for today - go for a run and then sort my packing for the AGM and then dinner this evening. I will be back to let you know if I survive:)0 -
Did you have a nice time at dinner?0

Hi Moomin- I wrote a post yesterday to say that I had a fantastic time but the post appears to have absconded ( I need a clueless smiley:)). You were all correct in that the nights you dread are usually the best.
I got the train to Belfast and then met up with everyone at a nice hotel. We headed down to the conference where I met loads more people but I will never remember their names:o. I paid for a coffee out of my own money but after that I didn't have to spend any money.
Yesterday I didn't do too much but managed to put the day in. Work is still madly busy and I have another month of this madness but I'm enjoying it. OK time to go shake up the budgets and get ready for May.

Morning all
Just a wee update before I head into the chaos that is work.
I have found NSKs May challenge and have signed up to it. I hope it keeps me on the straight and narrow with the frittering.
Yesterday I went to help a friend fill in a form - (ok I filled it in) for a grant payment which he has to do annually. He gave me £20 and absolutely refused to take it back. He used to pay someone else to do it for £50 so I suppose he is saving money:) but I don't like taking money when filling in forms is nothing to me.
I got the invoice for the consultant which was £140 which isn't bad for 5 mins work - I have paid it but then I claim it back. It was worth it to get to the top of the waiting list and to get someone to listen to me:).
Ok time to hit the road - have a good day everyone.

I get to take it easy this morning - woo hoo:). I have a meeting at 10 really close to home so I'm going to go for a nice run in about 5 mins which should set me up for the day ahead.
Hi Moomin I'm just back from NSKs thread and have all my budgets sorted for May, I think I saw your back as you were leaving:).

I might finally hear about my promotion today but if not it will be next week. I keep getting told that the list will be out soon or imminent but I've been told that since January. I love my job but I need away from staff gripes and groans. I will probably take on a new load of complaints but at least it will be a change:D
Have a lovely day everyone.0 - Food - /£100

Morning all
May started of with an NSD which is a good sign. I did spend money on diesel but to me that is a necessity so I'm not counting it.
Today is the closing date on the first stage of madness in work and and then it starts again towards the end of next week but at least we will have a mini reprieve before the hoards descend on us. I don't see my day going in which is brilliant however I know when the chaos ends on the 16th May I will feel a bit flat.
I didn't do too much last night but spent a good 30 mins chatting to my friend which always brightens up an evening.
I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend yet as OH has his name down for overtime but I know I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow.

Yeah it's finally the bank holiday weekend. I've had a great start to Sat and got lots of bits done. I've had my hair cut (£20), did a quick food shop (£37.10). I scored brownie points by helping my Mum with a spot of babysitting and visited a friend.- Food - £37.10/£100

Hi all
I had a pretty easy day & managed to put shopping into OHs basket which he paid for - result:).
OH has snuck of to bed which leaves me in control of the remote:) but it doesn't look like there is much on. There is a vintage rally on near us tomorrow so we're hoping to go to it if the weather holds up and next weekend there is a garden thing on as well as the Giro d'Italia which I would like to go see.
