Hi Moomin & INOD - thank you
. Yeah its a hard line to balance as putting on weight is doing my head in but at the same time if I even try to diet then I'm in trouble. I set out my meal plan for the week which is similar to structured eating, no weighing myself except at the class and no joining challenges.
Woo hoo there is money in my account. When I was a poor student I remember we would head up to the bank at midnight when our grant cheque (remember them?) would land in the account and we could finally afford to [STRIKE]drink[/STRIKE] eat again. OK it's not as bad but I got used to being able to stretch my money into the next month.
Not many plans today except work. Have fun today everyone.

Pinch punch first of the month:). So YNAB has caught up with my budgets and November will be another month where I try to master the art of not frittering:o.
I'm heading to a child's b'day party in a few hours so I really need to get my act into gear and get on with tidying the house.

Hi all
Greying - I get invited to all the best VIP parties. The wee girls were all in some Frozen costume but my social faux pas was not having watched the film:D.
For the last 2 days it has been raining cats and dogs and last night when dropping nephew and Mum home I hit a massive puddle and had to grip the steering wheel like mad. Today has been a gorgeous autumnal day.
This morning I volunteered to marshal at a 1/2 marathon so I was up and away at 7.15am. It was great cheering people round the course but I was chilled to the bone.
I got home and Mum mentioned that she had been up to Dad's grave and it was a disgrace with the weeds growing on it. I put on my good daughter halo and went and weeded it.
This afternoon I have been making soup, tidying up and now I'm drinking coffee and watching Columbo - I missed Miracle on 34th street but I'm pretty sure it will be on a few times before Xmas. I've also done a meal plan for the rest of the week which is both healthy and I'm on a mission to clear out the freezer.
Money front - not too bad. Today was an NSD ...finally and I don't think I will be spending anything tomorrow.

Morning all,
I lost 2.5lb at SW last night and I didn't feel deprived during the week so hopefully this will work.
I had another run in with my problem child employee yesterday. I knew over the weekend that I had to deal with her on Monday morning so it was kind of a relief it was over yesterday. Life is too short to worry about people like her but at the same time I just do.
I've signed up to do a course for the group I volunteer for and I was told last night about the exams I will sit:eek:. I thought this was a volunteer thing where I would learn a bit but it has been a long time since I sat an exam. I'm going to have to shake up the little brain cell a bit:D.
I'm putting it down here so that I go - I promise myself I will go to circuits tonight. See it's on here so I have to do it:). I know I feel amazing afterwards but my mojo has wandered of and I can't seem to find it. It is on my way home so I have no excuse and I have prepaid it so again no excuse.
Have a lovely day everyone and wrap up warm:)

Morning all
I spent £1300 this morning and am delighted:D. My PPI cheque finally cleared in my account last night and it swiftly exited this morning to pay my kitchen and I'm now free of all debts again.
I got a wee shock on the mammogram test - I've been referred to my local breast clinic. I'm 99.9% sure it is nothing because a lot of 1st time scans get a secondary appointment because the people who do the scanning have no previous scans to refer to. I'm now waiting for my letter from the hospital. It was a bit of a surprise but its good to be checked.
I'm also in court this morning but only to support someone. Its obviously somewhere I would rather not be but it is a great place for people watching. I need a knitting and nosy smiley:).
Finally I'm getting a bike. A friend has asked me to help organise a triathlon for next summer. I was really pleased to be asked but have never been involved in triathlons before only running and organising running events. I'm not a great swimmer, I don't have a bike and my knee gives out when I run.....why have I agreed to this:eek:. My in law is lending me a bike until I see if its a sport for me (it is handy to have an inlaw who has a bike shop). Oh dear do I have to purchase lycra:o and where did I put my water wings:).
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all,
I've had a fun day so far and now watching an old Miss Marple in front of a warm fire...bliss.
I finally went back to my pilates class this morning and felt so energised afterwards that I decided to brave the lunchtime madness in Sainsbugs. I have a few Slimming w recipes that I would like to try and needed to buy ingredients.
I also had a neighbour pop in because he wanted some advice and it felt lovely to be able to help him. The budgets are doing ok (thank goodness for YNAB), I will probably go a bit over on the diesel spends but I can borrow from my everything budget.
I have now watched 3 Xmas ads and John L is my favourite:D.

Hi all
I can't believe a week has skipped by and we're almost into another Saturday evening. I had an intense week but we are out the other side:). All I can say is that it is behind me and good riddance to it.
Today was great. I went to my pilates class this morning (it took me a few days to recover last week:o). I popped to Sainsbugs and got some necessities. I came home and cleaned the house from top to bottom. Dinner is prepared and hopefully OH can manage to cook it.
I'm doing very well on the NSD front if I do say so myself:D. I have stayed away from the shops and prepared my lunch every day.
I have even started my Xmas shopping - ok I ordered 1 gift from Avon and should get it in a few weeks but it is a start. OH and I have agreed a small pressie each and go out for dinner in the new year. Mum would like money which is fine. I will buy for 2 nephews and a niece as they are my god children and then the rest of the family will get sweets. I also buy for my sisters and one of them has a birthday in the New Year.
The work Xmas party is in 3 weeks and I have nothing to wear.....honest:o. I'm going to head to the shops in 2 weeks and see what there is.
This week I'm meeting some friends for lunch and also meeting my running buddies for a meet up. All looking good:)

Morning all
Today is first day of compressed hours and it is great:). I don't work Mondays but I work longer hours the rest of the week however if I'm needed I will go in. I changed my hours as apart from cleaning the house I wasn't getting any outside work done. I'm either at home with Mum or at OHs so I felt like I wasn't having a day to me. I have a list of jobs as long as your arm but I know that it will take me a while to achieve everything but at least I know it will finally be done.
Today I've already done the following -
- been for a run.
- changed light bulb in garage.
- cleaned out car.
- and submitted the electric reading.
- weed front garden
- weed back of house
- clean out leaves from drains.
- pick up nephew from school.
Yesterday I had my 2 nephews and I took them to a Xmas fair, an adventure place and McDonalds hence the need to clean out the car. I have the spends totted up but will add it to my total later.
I guess I better get into the garden.0
