Afternoon all:wave:
I'm going to miss these threads when I'm back at work on Thurs. I've just posted on the frugal living thread and my aim is to spend no more than £14,000 during 2012 and clear all my debts:T. It's only 366 days of being frugal
So the plan is
- save £2 coins (did really well last year)
- keep a record of all spends
- stick with NSD challenge thread
- packed lunches all the way.
I also have a terrible habit of popping into Mr Ts for 1 thing and coming out with 10:o, so will try to cut that out.
Spends today £13.37 at Sainsburys & £1.75 on papers.

Morning all,
I think I mentioned OH got me a Kindle for Xmas (best present as I am a bookworm and I've found a site for free downloads thanks to MSE), well the next book I want to download if it is every free is "Men are from Mars ......". I finally spoke to OH last night about his statement on Xmas day and that it had upset me. He went really quiet and then said that he couldn't be without me and that he needs to put me first. I said that wasn't what I was asking but that I didn't want to keep turning up every weekend with my bag like the littlest hobo (80s TV ref). I said that I hate sharing my emotions (but you all know what happens when I bottle them up) as it could go both ways and we could break up. He looked at me if I had two heads and said that he loved me and never wanted to break up. I left it at that as I didn't want him to think I was pushing for a ring obviously I want one but I want to know where we stand more.
I know that in my recovery I can't let things build up and stress me out. Well done me:T . I have 11 years of bottling things up and it's hard to break a habit.
Sorry for wittering on about me but this diary is my little me thing in my life.
Money saving -
OH has produced a massive beer bottle he used to save £1s in when he was saving up for his TV. I'm now going to use it for the 365 £1s challenge.
I love the 'Every Penny is a prisoner thread'- hopefully it will keep me on the straight and narrow.
It is blowing an absolute gale here, so when OH wakes up we are off to the beach to watch the waves. I need to buy cheese as we have left over bolognaise and I can turn that into lasagne. maybe OH will buy the cheese
I'm back to work tomorrow and I have to book a week off in January has I have leave to use up. Thurs & Fri better fly by.:D

Evening everyone:D
Beach was great... so windy. We went up to the top of a cliff to look out to sea and I slipped on muck and the wind caught me at the same time and I ended up like a turtle stranded on my back:o
OH bought the cheese:D so today was an NSD.
Lunch is ready for tomorrow.

Hi all
Spends today - 55p paper
I raided piggy bank and have 2 bags of coppers ready for the bank and I've also got a dodgy looking £1coin to take to the bank as I'm not sure it it's real.
I've also reclaimed £7.11 from topcashback today. So that's £10 made today to go into £1 jar (£365 in 365 days challenge).
Sister is home for New Year tomorrow so getting excited:D

Morning all
Checked bank account first thing this morning and as it's a bank holiday it looks like my direct debits are all going out tomorrow in one big whoosh.:)
I think I mentioned previously that OH has depression. Well the first day of the New Year was bad for him. I've accepted a long time ago that you can't pull someone out of depression but it feels like he's never going to get better. He says he's going to doctor but he has said that so many times before. Sorry, not a happy post but not sure what to do.
We had a lovely New Year just the 2 of us but I know he drank too much which has just added to his depression.
Anyway back to the purpose of my diary - Spends. I spent £7.99 on alcohol for New Year on Sat and yesterday I spent £7.50 on a Xmas tree and decorations for next year. I think it was last year that one of the nephews fell on top of the tree while stealing chocolate decorations. He broke some of the branches at the back. This year I put the tree up and it looked very sad and lopsided. Mum and I said that we weren't putting it back in storage and we'd get a new one. This tree was £20 down to £ 5 so quite pleased.

I also have to go do some shopping as it's my turn to cook dinner and the cupboards are looking very empty.

Hi all
Very random thing today which has left me confuddled. I opened my overnight bag this morning looking for something in the side pocket and found £80. I can't for the life of me think how it ended up in there. I'm now going to have to check the bank accounts tonight and see how this happened. I don't usually use that bag but £80 is a lot of money to 'forget' about.

Back to work today and even though I was in work last Thurs & Fri, today was horrible and I really struggled.
Managed to get to doctors today to pick up a referral to gym to work on dodgy knee.
I hate January:( but only 28 days of it left:)
